I have a one-hour bike ride on the schedule, to be immediately followed by frivolity, gayiety, fireworks and cold beverages. How about you?

Sounds great -- I'll likely swim in a cool, Vermont lake and then ride for an hour just to commune with the wind, sun, road, and any other tri-geeks on holiday.  :-)

I'm planning on running before work.  I work during the day (hooray for time and a half).  Then, I'm going home to drink and blow things up.  Sounds like a great day.

biking to my sisters house for a BBQ... maybe have her husband toss the bikes in the back of the pickup to take us home after we enjoy all the celebration. beer and cycling on the roads dont mix, right?

1 hour swim, 100 mile bike, 8 mile run, you know, the usual.   Actually it just so happens that I'm using the 4th to do my "dress rehearsal" for IMLP.

Have a great holiday all!

4 mile race that's a fund raiser for the ACLU.  I'll probably ride my bike to the race (~ 5miles) and then ride some more after.

I am doing a 50 miler with a goup from the local tri-club.  Actually this will be my second one in a three day span since I am doing one on Sunday as well.  Gotta love off-days!!!

Perfect day to train, especilly if you have the day off. Get up early and come home before the family gets out of bed and you will not spend one minute away from the family.

I LOVE training on holidays.  Makes you feel hard-core because the rest of the day you get to do things like:

During volleyball game:  "Sorry I couldn't get to that ball, I ran 9 miles this morning."

Sitting next to pool:  "Hey, if you're getting another would you get me one?  My legs are kind of sore from that 40 mi. bike ride this morning."

At parade:  "Man, I need to stand in the shade for a while, I got enough sun during the 4 mi. run I did after my long bike ride this morning."

I'm either running in a 10k race or going on a long ride, depends on what I'm feeling like that day.

I'm with bgleich, 5k race into barley pops. The 5k is going to be interesting as I left the couch for "triathlon training" mode for less than two weeks ago (though I've run 10 days out of 11 since I started). Keep your fingers crossed.
