Subject: RE: February 2008 Totals- March GoalsFebruary turned out to be a very nice month for me. Yeah, it included some B/R training, but the real news was that I can swim again. About Mid-Month my Ortho released me to swim. I did some easy swim workouts in the pool and everything felt great.
Yesterday, I did my first Ocean Swim (~1.2 Miles) and felt really strong. I don't feel like I have lost much swim fitness after 4 months of no swimming. I have to say that I am one lucky kid. ~11 Weeks Post-Op with a full recovery is a far cry from the prognosis of 4-6 months. I have an HIM at the end of March and I don't think the swim is going to be an issue. Just need to put some intensity into the bike in March and I am ready to rock. |
