What's cooler? 70.3 or 26.2

On a triathlete site, 70.3.  On a running site, probably 26.2.
My vote's for 70.3

By the way, the coolest # you could put on your car by far, is -273.15
Nothing's cooler than absolute zero!!!!!!

There's a spot at the top for 140.6

Turn the stickers into magnets and then you can switch them out whenever you want!
I currently have a 70.3 "magnet" on the back of my car, but take it off every now and then.

until someone can do a 70.3 in 2:05...I have to go with the 70.3

I was going to go down the path of putting them all on my car too.  I've got 140.6 and 70.3.  Was going to add the 26.2.  My wife got on me and said that having all of those was tantamount to bragging. 

I've no car, sadly.

So I'm going to get tats on my legs and feet since they carried me there.

Already got the 140.6 on my leg. Am thinking of putting a small 26.2 (or 50K) on my left foot and a small 70.3 on my right foot. Small because I'm a pansy and tattoos on the feet hurt, I hear.

I have a 26.2 on the back of my car because that's the farthest distance I've done.  If/when I do a 70.3, I'll probably put both.  I'd replace the 70.3 with a 140.6 if that day ever comes.

Seems to me, that once you've got a 140.6 sticker on your car, the 26.2 is rather irrelevant.

My running friends ahave all done 26.2 and are more impressed with my 70.3. Most of my Tri friends have never done 26.2 unless they have done IM. That said ive done a couple 26.2 and I HIM. the 70.3 sticker is on my truck. It will be removed and replaced once ive done 140.6. That is the king of cool.

which one did you think was harder to finish? which was the bigger accomplishment?

No, just warning would-be thieves that this vehicle isn't worth stealing.  

My wife got me 140.6, 26.2, and "How about a threesome" magnets.  I've got the first two on the car. 

Slightly off-track, my wife drew an M-dot and wrote my finishing time on the rear windows of our car (a Taurus wagon) for the 2200 mile trip home from Idaho last year.

I've got that shirt.  Then I did IMWI, and got a shirt.   Guess which one I wear?!?

While I consider my IM a "bigger" accomplishment than my marathons, the 26.2 hurt a helluva lot more than the 140.6 -- during and after the race!

I can't do magnets because they will get stolen... you wonder who would steal tri magnets? Probably the same a**holes who broke into my husbands car to steal a random pair of pants or the same people who broke off BOTH my driver and psgr side mirrors. Yeah, it's time to get the hell out of dodge!

I've done 26.2 and several 70.3's.  Don't have either on my car. 

I thought about putting the 70.3 on but passed; it's only 1/2 way to where I want to be.  After 8.29.2010, if all goes according to plans, I'll put a 140.6 on (at least for a little while.)  I'm proud of my accomplishments but don't really care if people I don't know are aware of them.  (That's not meant to be ugly but it's how I feel.)

I plan on doing IMLP in 2011 and I want to get a tat on my foot for the same reason.

I'm doing my first 70.3 in 2 months and I've been getting very excited at the prospect of picking up a 70.3 sticker.  I'm also doing my first 26.2 in Oct, so I will go by that sticker after also

I think 70.3 is cooler.

Also, I have a question for those that have multiple race distance stickers. Why no Oly distance? Is there one? What would it be, 31.93?

I don't have any stickers, but I found a 26.2 and a 70.3 to be equally exhausting. The last few miles of the HIM reminded me a lot of the last 5-6 miles of a marathon. Total fatigue.

I did, however, get a tattoo years ago after my first marathon. It's a little running skeleton with "26.2" tattooed underneath him. I wish I wouldn't have had the numbers tattooed on there. I get sick of people asking me 26.2 means. The only time I don't get asked is at a race, of course. This is probably the reason I've never bought any "26.2" or "70.3" stickers.
