April Totals

Our first child was born on April 1st, so my training has obviously taken a bit of a hit.

Still a long way to go until IMFL but the slow build is beginning nicely

Have a short, 20 or so mile ride this evening but otherwise the month is set...

Solid month:

Huge swimming month for me, bike is still not where I want it to be, but I was able to get my run volume back where it needs to be for my HIM coming up.

Not nearly as much as last month due to two races in two weeks, one an "international distance" (Maybe can call it a 50 as opposed to a 70.3?) and one a sprint. So much of the month was spent tapering or recovering. On the plus side, a lot of really hard biking, 82 km of it racing!

From a time perspective this was not a lot of time.

Nevertheless my TSS is the second highest (record was 3,847 12/2012) which clearly indicates the increase in intensity!

Well the Torn Meniscus in the knee is definately hurting the monthly totals but at least I am still moving.

Bike 4 hrs and 65.42 miles, lost 2 weeks days off the bike due to Knee swelling Docs orders

Swim 13 hrs and 15.20 miles or 24,478 Meters

Run 0 hrs and 0 miles

I am definately missing my Runs.

Just a little bit of a hit? looks pretty good to me still. Congrats on the first kiddo. 

my april totals.

 I missed 4-5 swims, shortened a couple of runs as well due to lazyness/lack of motivation or rather maybe more or less stress. Nonetheless, overall it was a good month for me. This coming month I will have a couple of high volume weeks before backing off and then starting the taper for IMCDA.

By the way 50,000 yards in the pool is pretty darn good!  Run/Bike was too but 50k yards???

Not too bad, still 6 weeks til my first 70.3!

Big bike month for me; over 500 miles of my total was on the trainer... looking forward to getting outside more.  Less run miles, and slower pace overall due to my knee giving me a little trouble.

Just started week 8 of a 20 week build up to my race ... so quite pleased with where I'm at 

An Ankle injury has meant not as much running as planned

Not a bad month for me.  Had a couple injury prevention light run weeks and really focused on building swim volume more than anything else. I'm interested to see how May turns out with week 1 of my HIM plan.
