FAIL!

x2

Talk about no will power.

GFY. Hits too close to home. It'd be a three-page rant on how people would rather have a controlled media rather than a free one. OK fine! I'm going to go lay down the law.

Heh.  Look out.  Here comes "Media Boy".

ETA: Toppity top top.

Zilla - 2008-10-08 11:33 AM Do I want to go with a second bowl of Lucky Charms?  They are magically delicious after all.  Or should I wait a couple of hours and have some eggs?  I'm just not hungry but I know I have to eat and such because I will be unable to eat later.  I am torn.

My kids had their first bowls of Lucky Charms last week at my parents house.  They ate all the marshmellos and left the rest.

Good kids.

I'm a busy little beaver today.  Which makes me happy.  I get stressed when I'm bored.  I get satisfaction of getting things done.

I have lived here for 2 years now and still never been.  I drive past Busch Gardens at least 10 times a week and I'm finally going for the first time.  Can't wait to get on the Griffin!!!!

heh.... just got a call from a guy who said he was out of money and on his way down to another small city a little ways South of us... heh... I couldn't buy him a bus ticket cause there's no bus that runs... I offered to buy him lunch... no go he said, "I don't really need that."

So I said, that we simply don't give out cash.  We will buy meals, groceries, bus tickets, or pay utility companies directly... but absolutely no cash.

His response, "Well, you're no help at all... I'm sorry you simply don't trust anyone and I'm sorry I even called."  THen he hung up on me...

well you know what buddy... this is the help we give.  You don't like it... keep on calling.

Dude, I've had 1 HALF a cherry pepsi since sept 24th. Yes, that's right. I'm off the sauce, which could explain the hunger. I was drinking 900+ cals in cherry pepsi a day, A DAY!!  So I may be low on cals.

Sad but true... A guy came up to me in the parking lot of Sam's Club... asks if I have a couple bucks so he can get some gas cause he's short and needs to get home... I say sure... lets go over to the gas station and fuel his car up... he re-nigs.

Flash forward another week... It is the same guy... gives me the same line.

Kinda makes you wonder... and a little sad.

so, the economy is bad, but people are still giving. Extreme makeover home edition was in my area when I was in Italy. The community (which is not that wealthy) not only came together to build the house but she had her mortgage from the one they tore down paid off from donations from the community. Her three sons were given two years college education from the local community college and Michgan State picked up their final two years. They also had someone offer to pay for their ultilities for a year and their homeowners insurance.

Wow.

yep... it is the surest and quickest way to sniff out the people who alcohol or drugs... don't give them any cash and they'll go away.  I drove to meet someone at a nearby gas station, they never showed up... gone.  Yeah. they just wanted money.

What I found amusing was the attempt to make me feel guilty.  hah.  Keep trying buckaroo.  five years of ministry has hardened my hide... ain't gonna happen.
