BAMBAM66 - 2009-06-22 12:42 PM A quick update on McFuzz---

He clipped a sandwich board on the 2nd loop of the bike and fell to his left.  He rode the rest of the way injured because he was afraid they wouldn't let him finish.  Ran the entire 26.2 miles and went promptly to the  medical tent.  Diagnosis: likely a broken collar bone.  Trip to  ER will confirm tomorrow morning.

WOWWWWW and on his first Ironman too what a freakin' toughie--a TRUE Ironman!

That's truly amazing. VERY inspirational.

Just back to the condo....Doug finished and is fine.   He had an awesome swim and a great ride and then had major GI issues on the run.  He is one tough IM.

Thanks for the phone calls and the support, peeps.  I got to catch PD Goldberger (Paul), Sgillen (Steve) , Barqhead (Pam) and Doug.  Great to see all of those smilin bt faces.

Tobin, I saw you at t2 and that was it-looked for you all day, but you were just too fast!

Mcfuzz!!! Did you have to show off and finish with broken bones...jeesh.   Get better, great to see you smilin at the end.

Now must go take care of my multiple IM. theGoddess is going to thaw and sleep.

Just click on the CDA item in the right-hand list.

Just got in from cheering out there and being a sherpa for some friends. Let me tell you what an extremely incredible effort I saw out there from so many people--it was AWESOME and it was no easy day--chop on the water, some chilly winds (I wash shivering and I wasn't even wet or sweating!), and then cold rain later in the day.  It was truly inspirational to watch all of you, and I'm pretty sure by where I was parked for the run I yelled everyone's name...there sure were a lot of Jim's, Matt's, Scott's, Joe's, and Paul's! I'm totally hoarse and it was totally worth it!!

CONGRATULATIONS IRONMAN TRIATHLETES!!!

Hi,

Congratulations to all? We were out there in the wind and rain and it truly amazes and inspires me what everyone went through today to become an IM. I will be signing up first thing in the morning. It will be my first so thank you everyone today for your inspiration!

Happy training,

Kendra

p.s. Was the run 26 or 26.2? I really couldn't tell on the race tracker?

Wow ... that is amazing.  Having done the broken collar bone thing, your whole shoulder siezes up and locks down while the pain is radiating.

That is true grit right there.

Hope McFuzz heals well.

JEN HOGAN... YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!

I can't wait to hear how it went!

I tell you what, I had freaky Iroman dreams all night because I had to go to bed not knowing if she crossed or not! I knew she would, but I wanted to SEE it for myself. Got right up this morning and came to the computer to see the results.
