Joined BT in early 2004; hard to believe that over 15 years have gone by. Gave up doing triathlons after doing St. Anthony's in 2015. My right knee has some chronic problems and I developed Dupuytren's Contracture in my hands, which made riding difficult and painful. Actually just sold my bike a couple of weeks ago. Have been swimming full-time with a Masters swim club since 6/15, doing about 500,000 yds/year. Enjoy it a lot. There are still some BTers that I keep in touch with from the old days, mostly on FB. Was here a LOT thru 2011 or so..last Ironman in 2013...but still active...trail running..use the logs- learned a lot-met a lot of friends virtual & in person here...miss the sense of community and positivity that was a big part of enjoying the sport.. getting the urge to do tri again ! |

First login in probably...a year or two? Stay in touch with most of my BT Pledge class via FB or IG - sort of the 2005 cohort...but got to know a ton of you via being a mod...so being back here and seeing this thread, most of you I've known or modded for years, a bit of a throwback...what's old is new? Hung up the tri bike a year ago after doing IM Kona. Floundering a bit now that I have less regimented training. Will find a purpose one of these days and get something in the plan. |

I registered in Nov 2004 (!) so just done 15 years of logging on the site -not many missed days in all that time.In some respects I never expected any website to last this long but so pleased it has. I use the site as my master log for races and training and post my races as they happen. The Race Forum is about the only forum I go to regularly - I like to read the experiences of others. Used to post a bit in the injury forums at a time when I had a few! No plans to go anywhere else. |

I check this thread every few years just to see where everyone has disappeared to—although apparently I haven’t logged onto BT since 2017. Earlier this year, I was all like “I’m going to get back into triathlons” but then Covid happened. As to what happened to me, I now have a six-year-old and almost year old, and with these two and work and life, haven’t even thought much about triathlons or BT in a long time. I do keep up with a few people from 2005-2008 on Facebook. |

It's quiet in here (BT) and I'm not sure how I feel about that! LOL! I was never a super-active poster, but I enjoyed reading the conversations, and the wealth of knowledge from everyone else was invaluable. It does feel good in its own way to be back on BT, though. Feels like coming home in a way (BT was my first forum site when I started training for tris years ago). |

Not what it used to be back in the TAN days tho... I dont get on the FB very much, hope all is well with you. Looks like I started wtih BT back in 2004. Amazing that I've used the site for 17 years. While I don't check the forums regularly any longer, BT has always been my log of all training and equipment. I still use it every day to update the log. Thanks to the crew for keeping it up and running ! |
