Christine Update

I spoke with Susan (Toms sister)this morning and really no change.  They did another ct scan this morning and her implant should be removed today.  Its infinately easier to get things done in a hospital on a monday than on a sunday.  Thanks to everyone for trying to help.  Tom and his family appreicate it more than I can say.  I will post updates in my blog when I hear things.  I can't continue to post in 3 different places so disseminate info as you all see fit.  I may hand off my cell phone to my nurse/OM Barb when I am in clinic.  She knows  Christine, Tom and the kids and the situation and will help me coordinate thru the day

Christine's inner cranial pressure has increased and has a new bleed in her brain.  Please keep her in your thoughts.

Wendi and Sue have canceled all appts and will be there with the family.  Thank God for friends like that. 

Increasing intensity of vibes...I'm so glad Sue/Wendi can be there with them for this....

Update from Socks who is at the hospital:

"We are going to lose her. They are talking hours."

Lucy/Christine is a long time BT'er and an amazing woman.  She has a loving husband and two teenaged sons.  This is so hard for so many of us. Please keep Christine and her family in your thoughts and prayers this day and in the days to come.

No words to say.  Praying as hard as I can.

If you never had the chance to meet her she was an amazing woman. Her humor and good spirit was contagious and she made everyone around her laugh. She will be greatly missed.

As Marma said, she has two teenage boys and a loving husband...they will need your prayers at this time.

Thoughts and prayers headed to Florida and to the Rusher family.

Update from soon as of 12:10

Things are quite desparate.  I think we are going to loose her.  All we can do is pray.  Reviewed all teh CTs with the neurosurgeon and most likely this was a hemangioma that had been sitting there, perhaps her whole life, like a time bomb waiting to go off and there really was not anything that could have been done at any point in time.  Althought they thought intially it was a tumor with as rapid as this thing expanded it is most likely the hemangioma

, to quote someone else, this is so WRONG. 

I've been sitting here reading her logs sad and bewildered.  how the *&^! does this happen?  Looks like June 14 is when she first referenced weird numbness.  It's all so fast and is so unfair.

My prayers go out to her and her family.
