bootygirl - 2012-11-07 12:52 PM Maybe some of you missed this, but this is the happy thread.

I thought we were going with the political definitions of happy which doesn't really mean happy but is just what we call it so that the masses don't perceive that they are now sharecroppers to the government.

"Sarc font": I do no' think it means what you think it means.

There is no font for what I mean but sarc will suffice.

Yeah I know. Maybe you could start a "The Sky is Falling" thread where you can talk about all your various doomsday scenarios with like-minded people and not rain on our parade. You know, per the OP and e'ythang.

Which is why I put it in red font pollyanna.

As for doomsday sky is falling I have said there are serious consequences to the way things are going I am sorry to rain on your parade but I will not lie just to make you feel better.  Funny thing is I am not the one going around telling people what they can post where.

Whether you like it our not if you are foolish enough to start a political thread on here maybe you should at least try to be smart enough to realize you will not be able to control the content or who posts.

Did someone really start a political thread on BT saying you can't be unhappy and may not post?  That's funny

And I am not your darling.

... or people have legitimate problems with the President.  I don't besmirch you your happiness.  Just don't expect me (or others) to be as happy as you about the outcome.

And note I never said a negative thing in your guys' happy thread...

I love how the people who are not happy about the election find themselves commenting in this thread.

It's like when a woman starts a thread and titles it `Women Only' yet 99 percent of posts are by men. It must be human nature.

I can't express how happy I am that Obama won. In fact, I'm going to go vote for him again. My Native American voting name:

Ha, I got a text from my friend who used to live in Philly but moved to Mexico City a little over a year ago.

Him: Did you vote?

Me: Yes, several times.

Him: That's great!

I'm happy because it's the one day it's ok to be a naive optimist.  The loser says 'now's the time to put the past behind us and come together as a country to solve our problems' and the winner says 'now's the time to put the past behind us and come together as a country to solve our problems', and for one day it almost sounds genuine and believable that they actually mean it.

Imagine how happy they are about themselves and their brethren covering the President's hiney, for weeks, over 4 dead and tortured Americans in Benghazi? They must be so proud of themselves.

It was a completely stupid thing to say and it was inexcusable. To his credit, he made a lengthy on-air apology today and accepted responsibility for being an idiot. I watch enough of his show to believe he genuinely cares about people and he was in agony today through his whole show. He knows he screwed up and he's ashamed of it. He should be, but I give him credit for owning up to it. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/ns/msnbc_tv-hardball_with_chris_matthews/#49733287
