The 2009 Tarmac Elite is ready for Race season.  This is my first road bike and I'm loving every ride I get in.

Norco CRR1M6 - built it up over the winter and finally finished running cables this week.  I need to fine tune a few things but great maiden voyage.

Thank you!  It's awesome to get a compliment on my bike.  Ummm my road wasn't really worthy.
I decided to name her Dori - she is an Ordu so it's kind of a take on that and she is a pretty blue like Dori from Nemo - the kids like it.

Sigh.  Here's mine.

Twice as heavy as almost all the ones shown so far.

For a site with "beginner" in the name, there are sure a lot of fancier bikes represented around here.  Beginner obviously doesn't have to mean limited funds, but I would think that there would be more basic bikes being used by other people getting started.

If you pass listed bikes in a race on an older, heavier ride, permission to smirk It happens often. I am all for going all out for equipment if you can, but until you see results, dont assume bike times match the steeds they ride in on...

I was just given this fine piece of machinery from a friend.  Complete with stem shifters, 27" tires, kick-stand, license plate from 1981, and clamps holding the bottle cage on.

I just have to find some running shoes that look like they are from the late 70s or early 80s, put on a speedo, take off my shirt, and I'm going to go do a sprint tri with it.  [no, I'm not joking]  I'll be sure to post pictures of the race when I do it, but first I have to give it a tune up and get myself fitted on it.

ETA: oh yeah, and it's a 10 speed

Don't let anyone tell you video games will make you fat.  It's all in what and how you play!

Is that a disc wheel or a cover? I've been thinking about getting a cover for my rear Hed.

I love the Orbeas I think they're beautiful bikes but what's up with the external cable routing?

Great porn guys thanks for sharing. The Orbeas and the Look are my favorites. Guru bikes are gorgeous as well.

Once upon a time...
See more at www.memoriesgames.com/gallery

That used to be how I made a living.  Now I am trying to sell it off / find a job.  A partnership  in a better location is my dream, but over a year has passed so that is fading....

And as far as the bike goes, I have been putting in more and more time on the bike and I have learned 2 things.

I AM getting stronger and the soreness doesn't last as long afterwards, AND I really want a lighter bike with bar end shifters and a third brake.  I stay down more each ride and hate the resistance when I sit up. I want to be able to stay down as much as my back will tolerate.

Old school but I love this bike and it's quite an improvement over my steel road bike with aerobars.  I've lowered the handlebars, raised the seat and switched out the saddle for a V Flow Plus.  Got it super cheap at veloswap which makes this tightwad happy

It is a cover, using both the screws and also taped down on the edge for additional security.
