TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs January Challenge – week 1 Thanks to everyone who is participating – Dee and I are having a great time with the challenge – I loved being the official greeter and well – Dee loves spreadsheets, so it’s a perfect match – LOL We have nine teams and I’d have to say they’ve been quite creative in coming up with team names! Way better than what Dee and I would have come up with that’s for sure!!! There have been some obstacles this first week for many of the teams, lots of illness, colds coughs, and the like. Some monster storms affecting our friends in Cali – Looks like everyone is making the best of it and still getting the workouts in! WTG! Team Recaps (in no particular order – and the order could change from week to week) Funky-Chrono-Monkeys of the Frozen Cinder Tundra – Captain Bluejack Team T.I.T.S – Captain Max (aka keeper of the T.I.T.S) Wet and Wild – Captain Jeni Side note – has anyone else noticed the high view to post count ratio for Teams T.I.T.S and Wet and Wild? What do you suppose people are looking for? LOL! Team Ride Lots – Captain Scott Scrambled Legs – Captain1for1 Loving Every Mile – L.E.M. - Captain Lisa Flying Fish – Captain Kendra Twisted Blisters – Captain Beth Who’s your Marmadaddy? – Captain Sal |

Veteran 188 Rochester, NY | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs uuuggghhhh!! I sprained my ankle pretty good today while on a run!! I'm icing it as much as I can. Hopefully this won't put too much of a damper on reaching my goal. I'm at 33% as of today, so I can afford a little time off I guess. No more trail running on wet leaves for me! |

Here are the team standings through January 6th: (Cue the drum roll, please!.... You'll have to scroll down because for some reason, the table is wayyyy down the page!)
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SCRAMBLED LEGS! BUT remember that this is only the FIRST week of the challenge! January is only 22.6% completed. There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking! So get out there and Swim/Bike/Run!... And then Swim/Bike/Run some more! Dee and Beth |

Regular 82 | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs Wow!! We're winning (no thanks to me)! I actually forgot to put one of my runs in until this evening. Sorry I haven't been around at all. I was at a conference for a couple of days and then we went to Disney World. I haven't had time to train much in the past few days, but I'm looking forward to getting back on the horse tomorrow. I promise to log a run tomorrow. |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs Awesome, just simply awesome Scrambled Legs!!!! Knowing everyone else is pushing so hard in this team is making me even more determined to get out and get the mileage logged, thanks to all of you for meeting the challenge head on, I think I'm going to have to increase my target with this new found enthusiasm The positive side of that being the huge scope to trash talk the other teams!!!!!! Easily the best team this month, I said we'd beat the others into submission by week 3, it only took 7 days for them to realize they weren't able to stand up to the Scrambled Legs |

Note to all -- Team Scrambled Eggs has decided to allow you to drop out of the January challenge as long as you agree to look directly into the camera and say "I am not more determined than a Scrambled Egg!" I am sure we will get some response!!! |

You know... you might want to cut out eating all those eggs. It raises cholesteral levels, and leads to heart attacks. You can't win the challenge when you're sitting on the side of the road trying to get your heart rate down Go L.E.M.s!!! |

I am sure we will get some response!!! Hey Scrambed Legs! Way to go last week! It looks like the best of the best is truely rising to the top! Mind you I can only guess it is because you guys have been working out so hard! Speaking of "looking at the camera, I snapped a quick pic of a couple of your team mates doing their "running routine". Good luck in the next few weeks, and keep up the hard work!!! :P and remember to lift with your LEGS not your back! Cycling Guru 15134 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs Hmmm, you think that maybe when someone is already close to 50% done within 6 days of a 31 day challenge that there isn't a problem here????? When you guys/gals decide to step up to the real mileage and go for a real goal, then come and talk to the real runners over on the LEM team! Maybe I should have put down only 100 miles instead of 250 ...... then I could be done by this weekend! |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: Scrambled Legs OK, so given the week I've just had I think I'll have to step up in here. I'm going to increase my goal to 100 miles. that's gonna be a tough call as I start traveling from tomorrow, so likely to be 67 miles on the dreaded hotel treadmills!!!!!! d. |

Reallllly - well since my goal for this month was 21% more miles than I have run in any month in almost 4 years and more than 70% of what I have run in October, November and December, I think my goal was fairly set. Can you say that your goal was 20% more than you ran last month? |
