My stoopid DVR cut off the very end, just as David was about to take Tiffany for a walk, so I missed that story and the lead-up for next week.  Glad to hear (from you guys) that they will be working individually next week: no more hiding behind team members!  I'm really stoked for Danni.  She looks great and is working hard and seems to have strong athleticism, which is what is propelling her to victories in the team challenges.  Lots of small (for the show) weight losses this week for most everyone, why?

At least for the blue team I think it was because there numbers were so high for the last couple weeks.

Dear Pam,

Bright red lipstick is NOT your color.  Honestly.

And that expression you keep putting on your face that you think means "Dang, girl!" or whatever it is you're saying...um...yeah....that just looks stupid.  Sorry.

Love,
Jennifer

Amen!  If I never hear that phrase again, it will be too soon.  I wonder if she's trying to get someone to make clothing with that as the name or slogan on it.

I believe it's been discussed before but the "week" differs from episode to episode. Sometimes it's more than a week. This could be a possibility for the relatively smaller numbers overall.

mass1clyde - 2013-02-06 10:19 AM Danni reminds me of a girl from a few years ago, Tara, who was a solid athlete during the show and my daughter said she finished Kona (?)

Yes, that was Tara...and yes, she did Kona.  Tara was another one that dropped weight well on the show.  In the end she didn't win but that's because she didn't emaciate herself like the winner did.

I am so over her "d@mn girl" statement, face, and body movements. Yes, she has lost weight and that's great... Glad she's feeling good about herself though! We can be spared the dance and weird hand movements.

The game is singles so it takes a change now.  The game play that was always there surfaced in about 2 seconds with these contestants.  Could get ugly.  I'm not sure why I'm always surprised.  I love the game play like this with a show like Survivor but I want this show to rise above it for some reason.  When that much money is at stake it's a foolish wish for a show and it's contestants.

I think Michael will do well the rest of his time at home. He has good motivation in his little one. He also looks very small at 320lbs still, which is amazing. I like Danni even more after she started doing a workout in the tempation challenge.

Danni’s my favorite. I’m worried that she’s worked so hard to this point that she might plateau a little and have some down weeks. The rest of the contestants will surely look to vote her off as soon as possible. The popular justification that “She’ll do well off the ranch, so she doesn’t need to be here,” is probably true in her case, but I’d still hate to see her go. She’s still got a fair amount to lose, so I guess she’s got that working in her favor.

I agree.

I'm pleased that the drama is at a minimum this season, or the editors are keeping it out. Or the producers aren't pushing for it. A nice change of pace (hello, Conda?!

I felt bad for Michael. I feel he needs to stay at the ranch. I think it was nice of Francelina to "save" Alex, but I'd be happy to see Alex go.

Has there been a challenge yet that she's not won?  If she can last another week or two, perhaps the alliances will break down and she may have a good chance.

Alliances or not, she’s the favorite at this point, I think. Everyone in the house has got to see her as the one to beat, so they’ll be gunning for her. I think she’s focused and dedicated enough to hopefully keep herself above the yellow line for the rest of the show.

I think that Jeff and Jackson can both have an off week at any time, since they’re both so inconsistent with their workouts (for different reasons). I don’t think Alex, Gina, or Francelina has it in them mentally to keep this up. They’re all looking for an excuse to get out. They’re all relatively small already and I think that any of them could decide “good enough” and throw in the towel. None of them seem to like working out very much.

That leaves Joe. Winning isn’t out of the question for him either. I think he’s motivated, and I think the workouts come pretty easy to him. He doesn’t seem to have a ton of baggage. He’s another one who I think the rest of the team will look to send home given a chance. Like Danni, he’s naturally competitive which fuels his workouts. Unlike Danni, I don’t think he’s made a lot of friends in the house, and I don’t think he’ll get any help from anyone if he falls below the line. But also like Danni, I could see him staying above the line all the way to the end.

I had not noticed Alex much this season until her "Leave me alone" comment to Bob.  Not cool.  This is the opportunity of a lifetime and she acts like that?  I'm about over Jeff too.  He needs to grow up soon.

Go Danni

My wife and I try to pick out the ones that will be good looking at the end of this process and we both said she will be a knockout.

What is with the Lawyer lady crying all the time?  You're not some young immature kid... HTFU

There is so much I hate about this show... but plenty of good stuff to keep watching. Good episode I thought. In between all the eye rolls with "personal breakthroughs" and all. I mean I know these guys have problems. I get it. And I assume they have some therapy times and the trainers get to do face time with a camera afterwards to "get it out". But the guy (name) who's dad died and he thought that was unfair of his dad to ask him to take care of things at 17... that really struck me wrong.

I mean I get jumbled emotions at hard times and you go through them all. And that was only what was on camera and not the whole conversation probably... but dude... man up. What the heck is wrong with your father asking you to take over on his death bed? I mean he wasn't 3, he was a year away from voting. But, what do I know? Loosing your dad is tough and that's just how he expressed it. Still....

Micheal looks great and is a real contender for the $100K. The other mom looked great too voted off two weeks ago.. Lisa?

Well... now Alex has to live with that vote with her "sister" not going home.

Danni is killing it. Even giving away stuff. I really don't think she can keep up the pace though. Not the work... she isn't going to jeep having good numbers.

And is it just me... is Jackson like the Biggest Looser color commentator this season? I mean anything that happens here he is with his take on it. I would be curious what his camera time is compared to everyone else. I still like the guy, just sayin.

And the kids are awesome. I'm really glad they went this route. I thinks it's great.

I love Danni.  I loved that she decided to do a workout in the temptation challenge and was kind of surprised the producers didn't stop her.

Yep.  Gina hit an all-time high for annoyingness tonight...maybe it was her time of the month...though, she's 47...she might be done with that.

Does anyone else think that they fixed that challenge?  Based on where they were when Allison said 1 minute I thought there was no way they could get all the way to the end of the pier...something didn't seem right to me.

There were a lot of big numbers last week...not really surprised by small numbers this week.

I'm pretty sure every challenge is either fixed or at least edited in such a way as to ratchet up the drama, whether or not its actually there. I thought that Danni was way ahead of everyone in the swimming challenge a few weeks ago, but they made it look like a sprint to the finish.

So, now we're down to the final six. I'm rooting for (in order)
Danni
Joe
Jackson
Alex

I'm actively not rooting for Gina and Jeff. I hope they get it together and lose the weight and improve their lives, but not at the expense of anyone else on the show who has worked harder and complained less.

UGH. She was so annoying. I don't know if they're just making her seem worse than she is by not showing others having meltdowns, but she needs to grow up.

I was wondering why they didn't show Joe provoking her? Or was it Jeff provoking? I thought it was Joe? Did they and I missed it? I started fast-forwarding the emotional drama BS.

I'm still not an Alex fan, but at least she doesn't act like Gina.

Danni: I hope she's ok with her ankle. It had/has the chance to be a pretty decent injury! I felt really bad for her, that had to hurt.

After it took them 10min to do the first mounds, I thought there was no way they could finish in 30min. Figured it was fixed too when they showed them almost done. But, what's the point of fixing it this week? It makes more drama to have them not reach the group weight loss goal.

Really... REALLY... you are NOT going to work out next to him? What an idiot. Like a two year old tantrum. Completely ridiculous with what is going on.

Danni rocks. I don't mind Joe either, and so what he said he hates lawyers... it was just a comment at the moment... but it is a game, and getting in your opponents head works too. He did.

I don't know if they are just playing up Jillian loosing her mind or what. She has been working with Bob for a long time, they know where each other stands. But we are deep into the season, and these guys just not doing it is silly. Go home and get back the people voted off... I'm sure they would jump at being back.
