Member 836 North Augusta, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Manatees - 2019 Edition - Practice Maximum Enthusiasm - CLOSED Kokua is ADORBS! ????? Ran 18 this morning, but tripped on a buckled up part of the Greeneway at mile 7 and took a tumble. Got up and had a bloody knee, elbow, knuckle and shoulder. Extended and flexed all involved joints, nothing hurt to bend or straighten, and ran 11 more. By the end, my knuckles were huge! Will be sore tomorrow, I'm sure, but it seems I've just got pretty mild abrasions. Chilling in my Air Relax boots following Randee (and Phil), Lionel Sanders and Sarah True at IMMT. |

Hope your ouchies are feeling OK today. Stalking peeps at IMMT was very fun! My former masters swim coach recently turned pro (and got out of the swim coaching business) and finished 7th in the pro field!! The fellow that is currently running a version of the masters swimming is also a pro (and is a tri coach but not my tri coach), he finished 9th pro. Congrats, Randee!! I was stalking from the car! I can't wait to hear about it. It seems to have gone well! I don't see any updates on Anne's page. Her training looked great going into Steamboat Springs. Hopefully, she had the race that she deserved. |

I don't have any particular plan at this time, however, when we did the Tuna Run 200 a few years back, the RD said something to the effect of "if you can run a half marathon, you can do this." I'd start with a HM plan and go from there. As you know, the route is hilly so take that into consideration. I do think that I'll have some split runs as well. |

I had a really good day. I'll spare you the RR and give you the summary - 1 hour and 28 minute PR! But if you're so inclined to read the details, it's up (pro tip: the run is the best part of the report....): https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid... and happy belated birthdays! Yeah, my tentative plan is run 3x week (plus fit in some swimming and biking but keep the emphasis on running). One possibly flat, one hillier (maybe trail runs), and one longer run with hills. Hill repeats sprinkled around. Two-a-days sprinkled around (but kept short). Try to be better about rolling/stretching. |

Alpharetta, Georgia | Subject: RE: Manatees - 2019 Edition - Practice Maximum Enthusiasm - CLOSED Originally posted by melbo55 Heaven help me, I just registered for Chatt 70.3!! WOOOO! How many Manatees are registered now? I don't think I'll be racing it next year as 2020 is my (potentially last) Ironman year, Wisconsin in September. But I may pop up there to volunteer - it's less than a 2-hour drive for me, and is always a target race for my tri club so we'll have a tent and lots of cheerleaders. |

It should be a fun time! I think that we need to recruit TJ. Let's trap her in a van on November 2 and work on her... |
