Comments:

This has been a tough week for a number of reasons and I began this run in about as bad a mood as I could have. Although I was aware as to why I was running, the mood wouldn't lift. Around mile 2 I thought of the picture of Christine in my blog from a few days ago and my mood started to improve.
Then I imagined her running beside me. The phrase "Let it go" popped into my head and I was suddenly smiling.

A feeling of peace and warmth and calm energy overcame me and I felt as if she really were running next to me, running with me. We had a short conversation and she had to go, but I was left feeling very aware of and connected to everyone else running. I was also left with a strong feeling that things are and will be ok.

Thank you Christine, Godspeed my friend.

And thank you to those of you who also ran. If you ever begin to despair of the state of the world, remember this woman and this evening.
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing.

It's been a tough week here too.

There was definitely a calming influence that settled over me during the run tonight.  Christine's hand, I believe.

May we all find the peace that we are looking for.

"Let it go", and then a smile.  How fitting to end the tribute!  Great job, Marmadaddio!
