Got to say that's some of the worst rating criteria I've ever seen. Units sold and Grammy awards have absolutely nothing to do with artistic merit. Of his Top 20 list, only DSOTM  and The Beatles would make mine.

Faith is a pretty good album, 1stTT, I consider it one of my guiltiest pleasures.

KenD, that's the crappiest Top 4 list I've ever seen, not to mention inclusion of soundtracks and greatest hit albums is verboten in these types of exercises.

Took a little while to find it on my hard drive, but here's my personal Top 16. Mostly old school, as you might expect. Criteria includes artistic achievement, inovation and influence, limited to one album per artist.

How do you make the case that L.A. Woman was anywhere close to being the best album of the Sixties?

Your taste are banal, but that has little to do with your "being older."

As long as "anything" is limited to writing doggerel, playing one's skin flute onstage, and drinking oneself into a coma.

Well, at least you have a sense of humor where that taste in music should be.
