Comments:

My IT band was killng me but I ran through most of it. I walked through most of the water stops but it took everything I had to start again.

Mile 18 near the Washington Monument was a killer. I turned off Constitution and started to walk. My leg hurt so bad I started to cry. I had my sunglasses on so I was able to hide it a little. One of the specators said...."THIS IS A NO WALK ZONE!" ... grrrrr I know she was just trying to be supportive but still. I walked to the water stop outside the American History Museum and then started to run again. I was able to pull most of the rest off with mostly running and little walking. I started walking the start of the 14th street brdge but once the main road connected to the HOV lane I noticed almost everyone was walking...so I figured it was a good time to start running... LOL

The Crystal City loop was killer. I hated having to loop back on the runners. That part sucked. But there was a HASH group there handing out BEER! I didn't stop but Butch did. I was in a zon since I have less then 5 miles left. It didn't seem possible. I left like I was so far from the start but there was only a few miles left.
What would you do differently?:

not run 2 other marathons in the 21 days before this one. This race felt good. But my body was sore and tired from the other two.
Post race
Warm down:

tried to walk to the family meet-up area. Found my baby at the bridge. He was standing in the middle of the road looking for me. We waited in line to use the port-a-potty which was gross and no paper...(grrrrr) then we got our USAA coins, and attempted to get on the metro, but the line was around the block. So we shuffled up to the Courthouse Metro. BUT we stopped at an irish bar for beers and burgers....UMMMMM SO GOOD! We started off with a 7 layer dip! MONEY!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Twin Cities and Baltimore marathons....

Event comments:

Wonderful race! Lots of Marines. Lots of Volunteers! Fun people on the run. Lots of spectators.

Great job! Three marathons in less than a month is hard core. I'm impressed.

Echo the rest- how in the world do you do 3 in a month?

And I agree with you on that Crystal City loop- that was never-ending..

Congratulations!
