Total Time = 1h 08m 44s
Overall Rank = 121/161
Age Group = 20-24
Age Group Rank = 2/2
Pre-race routine:

Last night ate pasta, french bread- lots of carbs. (Needless to say I was in heaven!)
Woke up at 2:30 am, then 4 am, then 5 am. I was so anxious I could barely sleep.
Ate half a bagel w/ butter, some OJ
Event warmup:

Brief walk, light one minute jog, stretching. Drank some water.
Run
  • 14m 36s
  • 1.65 miles
  • 08m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt really slow starting off. Was wary of my foot and didn't want to push it too hard. I was definitely torward the back, but I kept up a good pace throughout the 1.65 miles. Didn't even need to get water halfway through.
What would you do differently?:

Be able to run faster, haha!
Transition 1
  • 01m 25s
Comments:

Went good. Sunglasses were really foggy, so I had to take time and wipe them down.
What would you do differently?:

I need Yankz laces!
Bike
  • 37m 29s
  • 11 miles
  • 17.61 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike went great. It's so nice not riding with a cross wind (like I endure on my bike rides along the ocean). I even passed some people- granted they were mostly on mountain bikes, but I did pass a few road bikes.
What would you do differently?:

Reset my mileage on my bike computer to ZERO! (Stupid Lisa!)
Transition 2
  • 01m 1s
Comments:

This transition went good and was quick. Sipped some Gatorade, put on shoes (again, I need YANKZ!) and off I went.
Run
  • 14m 11s
  • 1.65 miles
  • 08m 36s  min/mile
Comments:

Started off slow to get used to running with lead legs, then picked up the pace. I didn't get passed ONCE! I passed about 8 people!! And then towards the end Sharon (snikpos on BT) ran alongside me yelling at me to keep my head up and sprint like hell. Thanks Sharon!
I also found it interesting that the second running segment was faster than my first!
Post race
Warm down:

Tried to catch my breath. Walked, drank water. Talked to Sharon. Grabbed some food for later. I don't know HOW people can eat fruit, fig newtons, cookies, bagels RIGHT after all that exercising. I felt like I was going to throw up. I can't imagine eating that!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

General athletic ability. I'm a slow runner, period. Plus, I'm just coming off a foot injury. I thought I did pretty well, considering.
