Sorry to hear about the clots. I have factor V leiden and while not on coumadin, I have to either take aspirin or lovenox. Lovenox if I travel more than two hours in a car or any flight.

I second what most everyone is saying... find the root cause of the clots and then worry about returning to cycling. The most important thing is to get healthy first. Factor V is more prevalent than people know. If that is what it is, you do have several people to talk to... including me.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Chris!  I read your thread in health issues and it really sounded like asthma. I hope you recover quickly and they can figure out what the underlying cause is.

oh no! So sorry to hear this! FWIW - 4 years ago I was initially told by my cardiologist no more sports ever (well, golf was OK). It was like this for about 3 months and after many, many, many tests I was finally cleared.
Maybe there's still hope/a fix? If not, you can say your just like Torbjorn and forced into early retirement...

Sorry to hear, Chris. Hope you get better soon and the docs find a solution that'll get you back on the bike.

Chris, just saw this thread.  sorry to hear.  I hope you get it all sorted out with the docs.
