If you happen to be able to grab a beer this evening, do me a favor and take a drink thinking of our servicemen.  Many of them would love to have a beer in their hand tonight, but instead will be standing watch.

US Army - 7/2002 to 11/2003 - Left early due to injury.

ETA - I also wanted to include my Dad.  While not a triathlete, he is a very important person to me.  My Dad has been in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from June 1969 to present.  He will retire in September 2011, at the age of 60.  From 1969 to 2007, my Dad was full-time National Guard.

USAF, 1999-Present (1995-Present if you count my time at the Air Force Academy).

I'm a pilot; I flew the MH-53J/M Pave Low from 2002-2007, and have been flying the CV-22 Osprey since 2007.

To all that have served before me and with me, here's to you!

Thanks to all who have served and continue to serve. Thanks also, as someone else mentioned, to the families of those serving.

Lots of vets in my family, too many to list here, so I'll just give a nod to the two who are still active: my dad's sister-in-law (AF Reserve) and my mom's brother (Navy).

For the dog lovers, here's a collection of videos of dogs welcoming home their soldiers.
