Run
Comments: Since I pretty much already walked a bit, so I was just ready to run. I planned to run/walk 4/1. Didn't turn out that way. Instead, I went 8 to 10 minutes of running, walking for one min or less. I slowed down near the end. Had to strip off my pants/arm warmers. It was very windy and cold at the start then all of sudden it got pretty hot. I wished Roy was around so I could give him the bag, instead I had to run with my bag. It was a little bit annoying, but didn't impede my ability to run. By the time I got to the finish line, I couldn't believe how quick I was done! It was just way easier to do a run with a bunch of other people and not worry about the time. Poured water on my head half way as my head was getting too hot. I drank probably like 3 sips of water. I don't do well with taking anything for the run. What would you do differently?: Not carry my bag with me, and don't overdress, what a newbie mistake (but it *was* windy and cold!). Oh well! Post race
Warm down: Stretched a little, and walked around. Ate Banana and had water. Easy peasy! What limited your ability to perform faster: I wasn't limited actually, this is probably the fastest 5K I've done! I felt AWESOME throughout. Event comments: Although this was more of a charity run than an actual bona fide race, I still had the chip to be officially timed. I felt that my run was way better than expected. My goal time was 45 min as I normally hit 3.1 with my pace, but this time, I exceeded my goal. Although I walked a little bit, however, I did way more running than walking (never walked for more than 1:30ish). Had an awesome time, and awesome race. Definitely will do this again to support Race for Cure! Last updated: 2010-03-26 12:00 AM

Ate cereal, got dressed, took Stardust out for potty, and drove off. I was not feeling nervous at all.
Walked quite a bit to the Start. I stayed there because I was supposed to meet Roy there, however, he happened to be on the other side. After about 20 minutes of waiting, a LOT of people started to show up, I couldn't believe how many people showed up to do this Race/charity run/Walk! No wonder why he couldn't find me. Stretched my quads and calves and I was good to go.
