Good news thread: share this week's good stuff! 05/14

Well, let's see:

- Training for my first HIM is going really well! :D and I am getting more excited than scared which is a good turn of attitude on that!

- pay week - always nice

- My best friend had her baby last week! Welcome to Nolan! :D

Lots of good stuff coming up including a holiday weekend and my first multisport race of the year.

Actually trained 3 days in a row
Bought new running shoes
Finally made the decision that it makes no sense for me to do Tri's longer than a sprint.
Made the mental commitment to race again in 2011.?

The sun is back out today.  That is good.  =)

I had a good long workout weekend last weekend with long ride (60 miles), and long swim.  Had a good AT threshold workout on the bike this week.

Was gifted a weight cetner for my hom egym.. it is awesome!

Not that particular one. It was tasty (two years ago)

found out a while back that my SO is pregnant again, recently we have been through some tough times and lost a child through miscarriage late last year, right now, we have got past the first trimester and the doctors are confident everything is going well, we had scans this week and have seen the little one is growing in all the right ways, we are very definitely on a high this week :-)

oh and the MCM historic half is this weekend :-)

Kiddo in kindergarten got a not from school saying he was very smart and reading on a 1st grade level.  Very excited initially, then realized that he starts 1st grade 3 months, so he's just where he should be.  Thankful to have a happy, healthy kiddo.
