I'm talking the 4 legged variety for those that have one.

This is my 1.5 year old Belgian Malinois, Sanka.

Love this girl!  We pretty much go everywhere together.  My Alaskan Husky, ex-sled dog, Nadie!  Once I put my running clothes on, she knows what we're up to and starts running in circles and waits by the door.

Do future running partners count? Luna's only 10 months old, so I haven't wanted to run her much yet, but as soon as her growth plates can reasonably be assumed to have closed, I'm going to start taking her out for short runs.

ok, managed to get the photo sorted out.  Above is my running buddy Max, who currently is getting a good store of fat for the winter while I recover from injury again.

Wow, love the labs.  Had two growing up and had so much fun with them.  Good memories for me, thanks for posting.

His mind is willing but his body (short legs) are unable.  I take him 1/2 mile around the block with me warming up sometimes.  he goes as hard as he can then sacks out

This is Dexter.  He usually does 4ish with me, but has gone up to 6.5.  Now that it's getting hot he tires a little quicker.

Dexter!

This is Ali. She is a bit young in this photo but she is big enough to run now. She does great and loves every minute of it!

A lot like my buddy Bentley. Last night I took him on a cool down walk and the pup wanted to RUN!!! Since I still had my running shoes on, I let him run as fast/long as he wanted. It was about 2 minutes LOL!

Aren't dogs just the best?!  Love all the pics!

My muddy running buddies after a trail run last winter.  Thankfully they spent a little time chasing sticks in the creek and cleaned up a little first!  The grey dog LOVES to run but isn't big on being in the water while the Jack Russell LOVES to swim but just tolerates running!

Find a doggie that can bike and it sounds like you've got a great tri relay team going!

1stTimeTri - 2011-05-26 8:38 AM Hmmmmmm, not one cat.  Something's fishy here.

This is because as soon as you put a harness and leash on a cat, they turn into a big, fur covered blob of pudding and COMPLETELY lose the ability to use their legs.

He's great on the run.  Not so good on the bike tho'.

provided there's water available and it's not too hot, I haven't found his distance limit yet.

I'm talking the 4 legged variety for those that have one.

This is my 1.5 year old Belgian Malinois, Sanka.

OMG. My Albert was a Belgian, but of the Groenendael variety. Best.Dog.Ever. Keep yours healthy and happy - mine lived to 17, and was only sick the last 12 hours of his life.

He's actually my second one, absolutely love the breed.
