I forgot that today was day 1 so I did an hour spin class this morning.  It was a hard interval class for an hour so I'm counting that as my day 1 workout versus trying to do a second workout tonight.

Thanks Jorge, I've been modifying your winter plan to suit my needs but this seems like more fun.  I almost missed the start but Queen Zipp woke me up.  I cursed both of you a little bit, it's coming from Japan so you'll get it tomorrow.

Question on the workouts.  If you break the workouts to M,W,F, option Saturday or Sunday.   Which is the most important?  Hitting all three weekday workouts (MWF option) or splitting M,W and optional longer distance?

Thanks again Jorge for your help.

I will be doing the program again for the 3rd year although not planning to start until Dec 1 as I focus on running for another month.  I will be following along with your suffering until then.  Excited about the Traineroad software this year to track progress.

Jorge,

I thought I saw somewhere the possibility of incorporating your program into TrainerRoad.  Any possibility on that actually occurring?  It'd be great if so.

blueyedbikergirl - 2011-10-31 6:18 AM When is it starting?  I want in!!!

Officially today but you can really start whenever you want. The next few weeks are prep with some intensity and then we test.

Oh man...just read this. Guess I'm on the trainer tonight!!!! Woohoooo!

Day 1 complete! I'm doing this plan by HR, so what indicators should I look for to analyze improvement? Thank you so much, Jorge!

The best way is to improve MPH for each 30 minute test session.  The tests are typically done every 4 weeks.  You will want to set your trainer up identically for every session so make sure tire pressure and trainer tension are the same each time.  Do you have a speed/cadence sensor?

Been dealing with some injuries...going to ease into it...so basically do the prep now (ride some of the workouts) and officially begin Nov 14th.    I live in Maine, so long winter.

I have been a part of the beta...love the SW, but the power numbers are WAY higher on TR than on my Ibike.    I have a Cycle ops trainer, not sure why its so far off...if I am riding at 150 watts on ibike, the TR shows 210 watts.

Beginner Triathlete now owns the cycling program v4.0, if they work out some integration with TR it might become available. Still, I am collaborating with TR to perhaps offer other cycling plan options.

I have the CycleOps Fluid 2, and last week they came out with a new formula for it.  I don't have a power meter though, so I have nothing to compare to.  Have you compared with the newer version?
