Haven't finished the episode yet but it is a good one.  I actually kinda like Gina.

Anyways, I did make it to the part where Jackson was like, "we could barely climb this hill 8 weeks ago and now we are powering up it like machines," it was a good reminder to me to not get too excited about where I am, as I sometimes do.  There are a lot of highs in training, but there are more lows.  Hope these people can make it through the low spots that are coming up.

And does Jackson have a chance to win this thing, like he says.  I mean that guy still has tons of bubbly fat to lose.  The others don't look nearly as porky.  I mean in our new lexicon, I would call him Fat, the others merely overweight, although I think Danni and Joe look quite good already and would be hardpressed saying they need to lose weight.

Also, so no marathon this year?

the marathon has traditionally been part of the "at home after the ranch" segment...

But then again...you would think if they were going to do it they would have set it up in the previews...

One thing I noticed and didn't like.

When Joe lost a small number and said 'it is what it is' or something like that, Bob got mad at him. When it is was Gina who lost a small number and had the "it is what it is' attitude, Bob celebrated it.

I found that odd as well.

Bob was totally off his rocker in that weigh-in.   The only thing I can think is that there's a LOT more to the story and he's mad about something else.   I can't believe how he laid into Joe.

I voted for Jackson a few times. I think he's a good kid and will be a good contributor to BL in the future.  He still has a lot to loose.  Yes, he has lost the least percentage so far BUT his nearly 30% is not that far from Danni's 36.8%  And, considering I'd like Danni to win, it suits me to vote in the person least likely to beat her

I noticed that too.  Did he think that Joe sandbagged since he had the 1# advantage?

WTF was up with Jillian's puffy shirt?

Did I miss the memo where these things came back in style?

Really glad to see who made it to the finale. I hope Danni wins it all. She looks amazing and should be WOW at the finale.

Saw the before/after journey for the kids... um, yeah, what I said before, they look exactly the same. I understand they are kids, but they can lose weight. That one 9 year old they showcased before a commercial break lost something like 90 pounds. You looked at that kid and thought "WOW!" At least they understand how to exercise and eat (maybe?) now.

Bingo lost 25% of his body weight in what, 8 or 9 weeks.  That has got to be on the cusp of what is healthy.  We are talking kids here right, most people accept that the adults on the biggest loser are not losing weight in a healthy or even sustainable manner to expect kids to lose at the same rate or even encourage it would be horribly irresponsible.  I am not sure how BL did it but they seemed to manage not to suck the kids into the insanity.

I thought they all did very well.

Agree.  I'm actually pretty shocked that someone can't look at each of the kid's before/after and not notice a difference.  I know that TBL didn't put them up side by side (which I agree with) but when you see a 10 second video clip from the beginning followed immediately by a current video its pretty easy to see.

I agree, I don't think kids should diet or 'loose' weight, but be taught to eat healthy and exercise and grow into their weight. It's all about lifestyle changes, not diets.

Too much muscle for him to get the % he needed to win.  But he looks awesome!  I really thought Lisa had it though, wow.  They all look awesome.

OH, I know!! She looked SO good! I was shocked, pleasantly, that she did so well at home! What a great story too. I was rooting for Francelina as well. This season had good (likable) contestants. Other than Gina.

Seemed to me that people either looked GREAT (Joe, Lisa, Danni, Gina) or still fat.

Happy for Danni, would also have loved to see Joe do better (but as a very tall and built dude he really was at a disadvantage).

At least we had a lot less drama this season!

I enjoyed the whole season after not liking it for several years. I still wish Joe had beat Gina, I can still do without her. I was really proud of Lisa.

I felt a little sorry for Jeff. One pound is tough to swallow! I think it'd be easier to accept, "I couldn't lose 10 more lbs," but just...one! That has to be tough.

Now the good stuff: I was not a fan of Danni's look, I blame production. I liked Allison's dress. My husband disagreed with me on both statements.

I wasn't crazy about Danni's hair, but her overall look I liked. I thought she looked great.

Arg-- has to suck to lose by one pound. If he had just taken an ex-lax that morning, he'd probably be the biggest loser champion. It was Danni's year, tho. She was a beast.

I also wish Joe had beaten Gina. Still not a fan.

I was glad the show redeemed itself for me this season. Bringing Jillian back was a huge part of that--like her or not, it isn't the same show without her. But the best change was doig away with the competition between the trainers- it cut out all of the hyper competition between all the players and made for a "kinder and gentler" show. There felt like there was genuine camaraderie among the players, which was nice.

Wow they all looked great.

Danni was/is jaw dropping gorgeous.  I mean Dayum Gurl  "How do ya like me now?"

Jackson did a great job and am very proud of him.  Joe seems to be just a happy nice guy and I wanted both him and Jackson to make it.

I loved all the final four.

I really wish Joe or Lisa had won the at home.  Lisa looked GREAT.

Still not a Gina fan.  She deserves the credit that she did a great job and lost the weight but still not a fan of her personality.

My biggest criticism of the finale is that they obviously keep them all apart backstage so when they come out they are hugging and reuniting, which is sweet but slows the show down.  They have done this since season 1 and it's awkward.  At least they got away from busting through their image on paper.

Wow, what a transformation!

They all looked great...  I think that Danni, Joe and Lisa had the biggest changes, but kudos to all.

I do wish that TC (?) was able to spend more time on the ranch, his story is heartbreaking (his seat broke in a car accident and fractured his son's skull).

Danni was always beautiful, such a lovely smile and pretty eyes, but OMG what a transformation.

I'd really like to see all of the season winners (and other contestants) to see how they're all doing now

In my search to find a watchable Finale Moment from a computer in Canada I stumbled upon this nice tidbit:

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/yoni-freedhoff/biggest-loser-kids-_b_2473934.html

The biggest losers each and every season aren't in fact the contestants, they're the viewers. By watching The Biggest Loser and basing their devoted adoration only on the proverbial "after" pictures, but not the "after-after" pictures, viewers are being taught non-sustainable approaches to weight management that in turn the medical literature suggests promote hatred of those who struggle with their weight, and potentially of themselves.

That children are involved in the show this year will likely increase the number of children watching and in so doing increase already rampant school-based weight-related child bullying. It may well also lead young overweight or obese viewers to feel even more guilt, shame and self-loathing than they already feel which in turn might heighten their risks of developing body image and eating disorders. Truly, if guilt, shame or self-loathing were sufficient for weight loss the world would be skinny as those who struggle with their weight, especially children, have no shortage of those particularly painful emotions.

Oh, did anyone else notice that Courtney (from a few seasons ago) appears to have put a bunch of weight back on?  Not gonna be a very good spokesperson for Subway!

And...I liked Gina's hair.  It's the style I've been aiming for but kinda failing at.  Can't tell if she had to use a curling iron or if it was maybe a perm...

yes, Courtney did seem to gain some weight back.  Hopefully she'll be able to drop some w/ the subway ads.

I think that the contestants had  a bunch of makeup and hair people fawning over them, but I agree Gina did look pretty.

I think that's a thought provoking article.  I also think that there's a very clear bias from the author, making it difficult to see through the boloney to the facts.

My analysis is that there's a very fine line between awareness of the unhealthiness of an unhealthy diet/sedentary lifestyle and problems like eating disorders and bullying.     Watching shows like the Biggest Loser probably produce both outcomes.

Sorry, I keep thinking of things.  I need to write this shizzle down while the show is happening.

Allison seemed drunk...way too overly enthusiastic!

I've always thought Allison didn't know the results before the final weigh in...but her "over emphasis" of you have to lose MORE than 120 pounds.  Did you hear me?  MORE than 120.  MORE than 120.  I think she said it three times!  Practically set up the "win by a pound" thing.

I have to agree that losing by a pound had to stink.  Not quite dehydrated enough, eh?  Nice to see that even Danni wasn't emaciated and dehydrated like that Helen chick from a few years back.

And finally...they normally let the contestants pick the order...but they didn't this time.  Wonder if they were sick of not having the person on the scale be the winner with the confetti....

Like everyone else I was happy for Danni and wish Joe or Lisa had beat Gina.

Didn't care for Danni's look. She is naturally beautiful, she didn't need all that cr@p to accentuate her eyes and the hair was awful. Maybe trying to accentuate her thinner face?

Didn't need to see more of Pam's dancing. Happy for the kids.

Courtney will have to be another before/after story. Sad that she gained so much back.

Dulvett is well spoken and classy and his smile makes me all gooey inside. WHAT THE HECK was Bob wearing?!!?!?!?!?

I thought Danni looked scary from the neck up. From the neck down, she was rockin' her dress and she was fit and healthy looking. Her face/hair/makeup was absolutely frightening, though. I'm disappointed, as she's such a cute girl with a pretty/cute face. The stylists made her look like Frankenstein. Ah, but what does she care, she just won $250K!

I thought Alex looked fantastic! She rocked that sparkle one shoulder dress. Loved it.

Lisa also looked great.

And Joe finally looked his age... not 15 years older!

Success, all around, for the most part, I'd say!
