What is it that you would like to do but can't for whatever reason, money/time/etc.?

I really would like to sell my house and buy a nice piece of land (10 acres or so) out away from the city a bit and build a house to start my own personal farm. I don't want to sell any of it, I just want to try and produce my own food. I'm trying to convince my wife. I don't think I could sell my house and afford this right now though sadly.

Buy my wife a new car and me a new motorcycle, then tell her to quit her job and do whatever she wants. Then give her the kid she has been asking for in a few years.

I would love to sell my home and find a way to move to a warmer climate.

I'd also love to retire before I turn 42 in April.

I can't afford either

Make a living riding my bike, working on bikes (but not the typical POS bikes that come into the shop completely destroyed with the expectation that I can make them like new for $10), designing and building bikes...

Move to a rural town in the Abruzzo region of Italy and ride my bike everyday after the first morning espresso.  Hopefully it can happen sooner than later...

I would love to live abroad, preferably Europe.    A close second would be anywhere in the US with better weather than Minnesota.

Unfortunately, despite his other wonderful qualities, my husband is a stick in the mud when it comes to this.  He loves MN, he's a transplant.  He'd like to live abroad in theory, for a short time, but being a stick in the mud he's not willing to take the necessary risks.

P.S. So now you all know the answer to my sig line.

Run the Antartica marathon for starters. Sell my house and live on the beaches in the Bahamas or lower outer banks. Oh and live the rest of my life as a cheetah.

on my own, doofus

Luckily, I got this one off my list early, while I was still single.  But, alas, now all I do is dream about the plane that I cannot afford (which is pretty much any airplane).

Other items on my list:

Take a year, and travel around the world with my family or live abroad (more backpacking style, not extravagant), spending time in various places.

Always been a dream to own some land and move out west.  I love the  mountains. For some reason they agree with me.  I often wonder if this is one of those greener pastures though, but I tend to think not.

And own a restaurant one day, maybe out west as noted above.

You flew sans aircraft? Impressive!

I'd like to do nothing. And still have nice stuff.

My wife's Grandfather was very successful at running restaurants/convenience stores and terrible at farming, but he loved farming.

So he'd make good money on a gas station, sell it, buy 320 acres, few years later go broke farming, sell the farm to pay off debt, borrow money to start a business.  Did that 3x.  Owned a gas station, then a Dairy Queen, then a restaurant.  Owned 3 different farms.

Funny how some people have a bug to do that.

ETA: Fly (with or without a plane), breathe underwater (ala waterworld), not get dropped riding up hills by every cyclist in Austin, run a 5K in 19:10 like I did when I was 19.

My dream du jour is the wife makes it big in showbiz, we can move to Malibu, and I open a burrito/bike rental shop on the beach and don't care if it doesn't make much money.  Just enough to keep it open.

I think it's in my blood. When my grandma died and I flew back to Arkansas to attend her funeral, I got to see firsthand the farmers I'm descended from. I also saw the plot of land they settled and where they had to provide all of their own food from. It was interesting. That and my garden feels too small.

That's a genius idea. I guarantee if I could buy a burrito while waiting for my bike to be fixed it would probably break down a lot more.
