How do we hook up and ride at least the first half together?

I assume that you do not actually know any of us so you obviously do not know what anyone looks like. You could call me on my cell at 770-355-8260 if you like and hook up with me since I know almost everyone.

Maaaaaaaybe,...but it probably has to do with the fact that I have no life...Britni has grown up...I have nothing except for my friends to ride bikes with so I am very nice to all of you. You guys are all I got.

I am out. My little girl has swim championships on that Saturday. Since she is a chip off the old block, she might actually win something. (I was a swimmer in HS and college). I totally spaced on the date.

Good luck. It is a great 100 mile ride. I will be thinking about all of you.

Hmm, I need to stop reading this post. How hard is the Cartersville ride, btw? J's got to read three books and write about a gazillion papers next week, so I'm tentatively thinking about it...

As many of you know, due to County meet being same time, I was on the fence on this ride.  Now, I'm in the same boat as thecaptin (yes, pun intended, please laugh...)  Madison's got a good chance to help pull some points for the team.

I'm out.

The only diff. neither Beth nor I were HS/college swimmers.  Not sure where Madison gets her "mojo," but she seems to be getting it at the right time.

I am planning on going at a very leisurely pace so I will try and hang with you guys, but my goal is to finish the 100 without bailing out early.

Stephanie, you should come join us. There are options for 10-15-30-55 and 100 miles.  I did the 55 mile route Sunday morning.  It is a nice ride with little traffic.  It is basically roling hills.  There is one steep on and one long one at around 35 miles.  The long one is not that steep.  I think it was one to two miles long, but I did not drop below 20 mph until about 75 yards from the top so it obviously is not too steep.

Sounds like a good day to be at the County swim meet...  Seriously, we had a similar forecast for Six Gaps/Three Gaps last Sept.  Yes, it did rain for quite a while, but there was no (significant) thunder and the ride went great.  Wish I could be there with you guys/gals...

cornelius300 - 2007-06-29 8:53 AM Where can we link up?

I assumed that we would just meet up in the parking lot.  The first portion of the lot is by the tennis courts and bathrooms.  I would think that would be easy to find unless anyone else has another suggestion.

Congratulations to all those who came out, especially those who completed the full century.  The course had a bunch of nasty hills and it was HOT!
