  • Comments: First time doing this race and it was great. Spent a couple extra days checking out the wine trail and state parks. Butter Milk Falls are amazing. All the volunteers were amazing, parking was easy and as my wife stated it was spectator friendly. Worth the 6 hour drive.

  • Comments: I think it's time to do the Olympic distance next year. One of the reasons I do relatively well here is that the best competitors are doing the Olympic. I am confident enough to join them. (Although I won't be first in my AG anymore!)

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon ever, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but it was a lot of fun! The volunteers were so AWESOME!!! The course was also really well marked, and I loved the little smiley faces all over. Running up to the falls was so cool!! Overall, I did as well as I could, finished the race, and had a great time, which was my goal.

  • Comments: Great race. Well organized with the number of competitors capped so it's a great size. 10 minutes between swim waves means very little passing by later groups. Good food at the end. Free ice cream!

  • Comments: Another smashing success by Jane Miller and the Ithaca Triathlon Club. They do such a great job with this race. The venue is beautiful, bike course is challenging and fun, the run course is the most scenic you'll run in the northeast.

  • Comments: Much smaller than the ones I've done before. About 450 entrants in the sprint distance. Swim waves were mostly segregated by sex and were 10 minutes apart, which was excellent. Excellent buoys. Good organization. Free ice cream.

  • Comments: The Cayuga Lake Triathlon ROCKS!!! The view of the falls at the 1/2 way point on the run is breathtaking. Volunteers galore and Jane Miller and the race committee really go all out to put on a great show. I would highly recommend this race and any of the Finger Lakes triathlons!

  • Comments: Its great having BT gang around to support you. Thanks Mike for the great cheers you didn't miss a transition. Even the girls helped. Did miss Yoshi and Will to cheer but i know they were cheering for me at home. I will do this race again. Well run and the friendilest volunteers.

  • Comments: Can't rate the race against others because it was my first but I thought it was great. I had a blast and was so happy to do the swim fairly well and feel confident in the water. That was my biggest concern. My husband beat me by only 1 min and 9sec. If I had only gotten that dang shirt on faster in T1!

  • Comments: A fun day. Beautiful weather, drove with Jeremy which made the drive a whole lot better than usual, got to meet and visit a bit with Jessica (Tri Take Me Away) who's really nice. 8.8.05 Splits are in and it's interesting. I was 7th in my AG for the Swim, T1 and the Bike. T2 I was 9th and the run I was 4th. Yet I finished 5th in my AG. 1st-4th were way ahead of me, I didn't have prayer of placing higher. The interesting thing here is result of consistency. I placed about equally in each leg and came out higher than one would expect based on the individual placements. This points to me having no really weak leg with my running a bit stronger than the swim and bike. So the answer to the question "what do I work on?" is "Everything". I really think I have some serious swimming gains in me though. OA: MOFOP AG: BOFOP.

  • Comments: It was my first one and I finished! I finished a triathlon. I learned alot, both about the sport and about myself. My goal was to simply finish, but my secondary goal was to do it in under 2:10, so I'm happy with my overall time. I didn't expect to have so many volunteers cheering the racers on, particularly on the run. That was cool. I recommend the race for anyone interested. I particularly liked that they had chiropractors available afterward.
