  • Comments: The race was excellent, well attended, staffed, and funded. I will definitely return to this race course again with hopes to score much better through better preparation and better decision making.

  • Comments: Love this race- I do it every year. This year I coached a team with 2 blind runners who ran with guides. Great Experience!

  • Comments: The blister on my foot is the size of a quarter. I have to figure out what I am doing because this is the second HM I have done in a row that I got it in the same spot. I thought after the last one that it was the socks, but for this race I work socks that I have been wearing for a while. I also got blood blisters under the second toe on both feet and will probably lose the nails, but I am so happy with the time I don't really care!

  • Comments: This is the one race I do every year. I have been doing every year since 1998. It's very well organized but this year they gave out less food at the post race party. Fun day! Anyone reading this should consider this race for the future. 30,000 runners makes for a very exciting atmosphere.

  • Comments: Overall I had a good experience. This is a big race with a massive amount of people participating. It's fun to run on the indy motor speedway and the crowds and music is always fun. I wish the weather would have been better. I hate to be cold.

  • Comments: Have done this one four times. It's always a good time. Very well organized. At finish, volunteers hand you plastic bag to carry all snacks/goodies in. Nice touch! Going around Speedway track is always fun.

  • Comments: We didn't stay long at the after-race festival. There was lots of stuff, but we essentially got our food, found our family, and hit the road. Legs were too dead to want to stay and party. Plus our kids were waiting at home, ready to pamper their parents. (haha... that was funny for me) All in all, great time. I thought this was going to be a "one and done" race, but I'm seriously considering doing it again next year.

  • Comments: Volunteers were excellent & the entertainment from the bands, cloggers, cheerleaders added to a great atmosphere. This is a must do race. Something I forgot to mention, Race Day Magic. There is something special about running with 30 to 40 thousand people. The adrenaline keeps you going. It happens in small races as well, I pushed without maximum effort to accomplish more than I thought possible. The RDM is real, I will not plan for it or count on it but I know it is a factor. I paced with a young couple the 1st 5 miles and later found other silent partners to get me through the day. RDM is certainly mental but the results are physical. RDM was only partially beneficial when the legs were heavy.

  • Comments: There were tons of amazing volunteers handing out water and gatorade. There were bands, "spirit squads", and spectators lining the streets cheering us on. Favorite signage: 13.1 miles, 1300 calories burned, beers earned = 12 pack Favorite band: the pipers that serenaded us as we came thru the tunnel into the speedway.
