  • Comments: The parking situation sucks. You have to part about 3/4 mile away and walk to and from the transition. Then the awards were super unorganized this year. But other than that the race is great. Loved the course. Good community support. Lots of volunteers helping everywhere.

  • Comments: M50-54 AG was stacked with first 4 all placing in top 15 overall. I raced well and am pleased even though I didn't finish as I high in AG as I would have liked. Very happy placing 13th overall and 3+ minute improvement. Easily the best field I have seen at this race. Seems our local race is quickly beginning to attract some top regional participants. Always fun to race against top notch competition. This was my first triathlon in 2009 and it is always well done....being only a mile or two from the house is also a plus. Lots of hardware for Gulf Coast Tri Team including overall winner. Fun morning!

  • Comments: Hard to beat a well run race that is so close to home where you get to race with your friends and team. Great day for the Gulf Coast Tri Team with lots of hardware!

  • Comments: Well, best race since only race :) I will say the race was VERY well organized and there were a ton of volunteers. Course was VERY well marked. My son and several friends want to do race with me next year.

  • Comments: This is a don't-miss event. Lots of wonderful and friendly volunteers and spectators, very well organized, plenty of cold water, powerade, beer, pizza, sandwiches, fruit and cookies afterward. The course was fun, and the atmosphere was great. Great pre-race instruction, and the race directors sent out steady emails to participants to keep them up to date on things. Weather turned out beautiful that day also. I can't wait til next year!

  • Comments: Good race, well organized and staffed. People of Fairhope were very supportive, that helped a lot. This is a must-do for any age-grouper, may not be the best first-timer race if you're not prepared. Post-race party could have been a bit more, but given the objective of the organizers' fundraising activity, this was a good one!

  • Comments: Great race, well-organized. Not as many vendors and stations during the pre-race expo and post-race as I expected; free pizza was nice. Had to leave relatively soon after the race to shower and check out of the hotel before check-out time (noon).

  • Comments: I thought the race was great. The venue is absolutely perfect and the race organizers did a great job. There were plenty of volunteers and everything was organized. I will definitely do this race every chance I get. Would highly recommend it to anyone, especially a firt timer.
