I got 5 incorrect

I wonder how many I'll need to know if I actually take the test?

seriously, if you ARE trying to get citizenship, you will have to study.  also, they will not just schedule a test for you and you study for it.  they will call you and say "hey your test is in 3 days."  you have to be ready.  i have watched quite a few friends prep for this in the past few years, and i am GLAD i didn't have to do it.  i'm pretty sure you need a perfect score...

I missed three, but one I knew and clicked the wrong button. Thought there were 23 amendments, and wasn't sure who was president during WWI.
So do I get to stay?

You need 6 out of 10 according to the article.

right 6 out of 10 and if you get the first 6 right you just stop.  I was kinda bummed about that, I wanted to hear the other questions.  But you get way more then 3 days notice.  And they will never call you.  They send a letter that says to come in for an interview and they neglect to say that is also your test day but it is.  But you first have to go get finger printed and when that happens you get a book to study from.  The material is not that hard to study.  And you have a few weeks from that finger printing to the interview.

I missed one. I didn't know how many amendments there were to the Constitution.

My wife where naturalized a little over 7 years ago. I remember creating flash cards to help learn the various topics that could come up during the interview process. Was kinda funny in our house for a little bit as we randomly would quiz each other.

Since I was born here, I don't have to be smart - just lucky.

ETA - 95% - I confused Susan B. Anthony with Betsy Ross.

Working in a Federal Depository Library, we have the official flash cards produced by the government to study for this. I think also tricky is you have to know the answer based on when the test was written, not the current date, for instance if you took the test around the time a new US President was put into office.

We went through the cards during a staff meeting and, even with several folks who'd been to law school at the table, it was hard.

Okay, the flash cards and the variety of questions that might be on the test is much greater than 10 questions or ever the 15 on this quiz.  That makes studying harder.

I am bummed - 75%...   I need to pay better attention.  Is it bad that I get a lot of history from watching movies?

I have to get fingerprinted AGAIN?  Because they somehow magically changed from having them done in the UK and then again in the US for my Green Card?

Well, it's not something I even need to think about until 2016 - I still have to get a permanent Green Card before next year, and then maybe I'll consider forking over another $1000 to the USCIS for citizenship.  Maybe.

A few weeks ago we gave our resident division Brit the US citizenship practice test...he got about 75%...which is WAY better than the 25% most of the US guys got on the Brit citizenship test!  It was pretty darn hilarious...the 4 July jokes were running rampant around here...he kept calling it insurgency day. :D

I missed one. The president during WW1. Oops. Those are some pretty easy ones overall. I got a sample question of the US Citizenship test for my Cub Scout Troop I lead. I was surprised how many the 4th graders got correct compared to the parents. Who says public education is dead?

That was the only one I missed, too. I thought the test was pretty easy, myself.
