She's baaaaack and feeling groovy!  Made it through my annual bout of strep thoat...total rest for three days seems to have done the trick.

4:15am:  5 mile run
5:00am:  Insanity Cardio Abs

The big workout will be getting my classroom back to order after missing two days...!

Have a great training day!

I have masters swim practice at 7:30 tonight and I need to decide if I want to go for a run at lunch.  I was supposed to go yesterday at lunch and got as far as the locker room and then realized I didn't have my running shoes, only winter boots so I had to abort.  The reason I need to decide for today is that the forecast is for a -20C windchill.  That's right around my cutoff...

What say you all?  Suck it up or pansy out?  (I've pretty much talked myself into it here...)

Kim, it is good to hear that you are feeling better.

Today is supposed to be an off day for me, but I think I'll spend 40 minutes in the pool this evening.

Enjoy what the day brings.

Ouch, not me! But, since you seen willing, I would say go for it. Dress warm and have fun.

Feeling a "good sore" after my first speed/track session yesterday.  Hit all the times I was supposed to!  45 mins on the trainer for me this morning.  Have a great day everyone!

Wow--20 below. Depends on your clothes and comfort level, but it could be doable. When I was studying Chinese in Harbin (far northern China) my cutoff was 25 below. I found my face tended to freeze unless I smeared it with Vaseline....but then you Canadians probably know all the tricks.

"Winter" here, which means it's maybe 20 above (degrees C, about 68 F) in the mornings now. Easy 30 minute run this AM; 50 minutes of Jorge bike torture PM, a little core and upper body stuff after. Can I log eight hours of elementary teaching and shepherding kids up and down the 78 stairs to my 4th floor classroom??

Kim, you poor thing! Glad you made it through the sickness. Seems a common thing among educators. Two family members and at least three friends who teach have had a bout of it too. Hope you fully shake it asap!

For my Wahoo Wednesday I did work, yo. Had a hard 45 minute spin class followed by a 2.5 mile run outdoors with a smidge of hills.

Have a great Wednesday, guys!

Trainer/Treadmill brick.    Don't know how long or how far.  Feeling a bit puny.

Kim, I now have an ear worm for the day.

Fully re-energized and excited to train. Bought a P2 yesterday with a buddy using the share-the-ride deal. Made an appointment to start with a new swim coach on Monday.

So 1.5 hours on the trainer with extra motivation this morning

Took the kids to school (1.6 miles), and then me to work (for a total of 9.9 miles).  Temperature mid-20s.  Should be in the 30s when I head home.

7 mile run at lunch.  Bringing in a 350 calorie microwaveable steamer meal doesn't quite cut it.  Looking for food ......

Yuck. I hope not, too.

Me? I have strep. So I'm taking it easy today. I did 10-15 minutes of light core work, and 10 minutes on the trainer. Then I got my butt back in bed.

That is an awesome set up! We have a tag along for my husband's bike for my five year old, but I really like what you have there.
