if 8oz = cup, then Im about 6 cups a day. If we're talking my travel mug - 2x in the morning and a large iced coffee/latte in the afternoon w/ lunch instead of a soda.

I picked up the coffee habit long ago and the effects don't seem to hit me as bad as others. My nighttime routine is to turn off the coffee pot, turn out the lights and go to bed. I become too dependent on the stuff if I drink it regularly. If I am in the habit and don't have it by 10:30, I am not doing so well. I find I sleep better in general and feel better if I don't drink it. Do like it though. |

I have a two shot "depth charge" - 2 shots of espresso in a cup of coffee first thing in the morning...then I'm done for the day. Much like blueeyedbikergirl - any after noon and I'm twitching all night. My father (on the other hand) drinks espresso ALL day long (I don't think I have ever seen him drink actual plain water)...to the point that he is known to fall asleep with a cup in his hand. My uncle (ex-Navy) went to the doctor with stomach troubles. The doctor asked him how much coffee he drank on a daily basis. He said, "Three...maybe four....pots a day". Therein was the difficulty. Just the thought of that much coffee makes me gag. |

), although more often lately I've been trying to drink more green or black tea and less pop. As for coffee, other than a brief stint when I was a senior in high school, I have never been a coffee drinker. I just don't like the taste of it.
