O-kay..what do you do with them? I have a speedo swim cap that I train in and I love it..but the race caps always hurt my hair so I don't really use them outside of the race. I have a pile of them in a bin in the closet. Should I just throw them out? Or does someone have a cool idea of what to do with them?

I can PM you my address! Even send you a SASE!

All right, all right, seriously--there must be a HS or age group swim team nearby where the coach knows some kids who are really struggling to pay either the team or equipment fees ...

Cherie Gruenfeld's Exceeding Expectations could use them ...

Find a local sports charity and send 'em ...

You could always frame some of the one from cooler races or make a collage of using them.

If you want them to keep from getting really nasty over any extended period of time, put some baby powder on them.

I am sure if you check around, you can find swim programs for the wee ones and I am sure they would be more than happy to take a pile of brand new used once swim caps and put them to great use.

I drop mine off at a local swim school and have donated a few to fellow triathletes and club members when they found themselves in need

I keep them and use them in practice.  I'm sure you could donate them to a pool or something for people who forget their caps.  My pool keeps a stash of those.

I just have mine in a pile and just grab one when I go out for swim. Usually use the bright ones when I am out in the open water.

I think it gives me a little "street cred" wearing one of my bright orange swim caps with numbers on it in the lap pool.

I'm making a work out corner in my garage for my bike trainer, so I can ride and watch movies and I plan to plaster the wall with them and my race numbers.  I'll post some pictures when I finish it.  Between tri's and road races I have like 25 or 30 numbers and like 7 caps -- hopefully in the next ten years I'll be able to cover my entire wall

I thought about wearing my neon green 70.3 cap to the pool after I finished my HIM, and then I thought that's all I need is a bunch of guys trying to race the (half)Ironman dude and all I'm trying to do is get an easy Recovery swim in.

The race caps are also good for OWS practice because they are bright enough to be seen.

This isnt a great suggestion but my kids play a really fun game with them, if you open the swim cap and dunk it in the water a few times so that it fills up with water, it becomes HUGE and then the kids can actually jump/cannonball into it. I'm not kidding! The race caps are perfect because they stretch. They did this at my son's swim team on "fun fridays" it is hilarious. Its probably on you tube somewhere.

I train in them but I am sure there is a YMCA with a kids program or maybe a special olympics program that could use them

I use mine for all OW swims for safety purposes.  Our tri club actually won't let anyone swim in out group OW sessions without a bright coloured cap on
