My avatar is a picture that I have of my great great grandfather.  The picture was taken in September of 1861.    He had just enlisted into the 51st Alabama Cavalry regiment, the Partisan Rangers.  I've been told I am the spitting image of him.  Maybe that is why my grandmother gave me the picture.

That is super cool!

My avatar at the moment is similar to my first tattoo.  Always liked the peace symbol.

My two girls with clown noses...the picture cracks me up every time I look at it.

I would like to have a picture of me at an actual event - but alas, all the photos are TERRIBLE or I'm so tiny in the picture that they are incomprehensible...so we get the picture of the girls.

I change my picture a lot.  When I saw this one, taken from above by my husband pre-race, it frankly screamed AVATAR.

I always thought it was feather ... now looking closely I do see a face.

Embarassed

Mine is my dog wearing a life jacket and it's just because she's so very cute! And I hate all my race pictures, that, and I am weary of putting my actual likeness on the interweb. Though I have no problem looking at everyone else's with great interest!

I just like my dog,   like most any lab he will chase a tennis ball until my arm falls off.

His water bowl is huge, and he will lay down and repeatedly dunk his head to cool off some before running again

Just cuz Dale's freakin' hilarious. And he's enjoying a beer. Some classic Dale:

Sometimes I wish the government would just ban itself. Wrap your heads around that, fellas.

If there are no Cubans, how do you account for Desi Arnaz?

If you're going to shoot me, I want Bobby Hill to take the shot, because he'll put me down clean

Sorry, son, that's the coffee talking, and the fluorescent lighting, and the excruciating headache!

I'll tell you the same thing I told that doctor, I'm not quitting you incompetent quack!

Dale Gribble: My name is Shackelford, Rusty Shackelford, I refuse to speak without my attorney present,
[stands, takes off his hat]
Dale Gribble: I am Mr. Shackelford's attorney, Rusty Shackelford, My client pleads insanity.

So Bill's taking a solo drive across the desert. How much of Bill's body do you think vultures will refuse to eat?

Poor Bill. Too fat to work out, not fat enough to stay in bed.

Now is the time to mold Bobby's mind while the material is still soft. In Bobby's case, exceptionally soft.

You know what the problem is? It's a Ford. You know what Ford stands for? Fix It Again Tony

I am your worst nightmare! I have a three-line phone and plenty of time to kill!

If you want, I can teach you how to make a bomb out of a toilet paper roll and a stick of dynamite

Mine's a pic of me and my show horse at our last cross country outing before he retired.  We had an amazing afternoon just jumping around the course for the heck of it.  My husband took some great pics that day.  That was back in '05 before I got into tris.  Now the great white beast is happily retired and living large.
