Ok, more procrastination pre-vacuuming. REI is selling Garmin 310xt with HRM $289 with 50$ rebate.

RR is done from this morning...  New 5k PR - 27:09...  yes, I know - so close.  I tried to turn it up more down the final quarter of mile, but my legs replied in a thick Scottish accent "I've giv'n her all she's got captain, an' I canna give her no more!"

Goal achieved!  '07: 47:16, Today: 46:38

Second in AG, missed first by 6 seconds!  Damn!

Winds were a blustery 10-20mph which mainly affected the back half, but I started hard and did my best to hold on.  Pace eroded the last 3m, but I banked enough in the front half to get the job done.  First mile was a 7:00 so I basically knew I had it in the bag at that point.   I kept pushing to see how much I could beat it by. Didn't puke so that must mean I left something out there for next year!  '12 goal beat my 10k PR!

Happy Thanksgiving Peeps!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Congrats Suzy on a great race!  And great job to the rest of the racers for getting it done.

I'm lounging at the moment in a slight food coma.

And Doug the pens look awesome!

Congrats on the PR, Andy!

Suzy, great job breaking your goal time and on your podium finish!

According to Lose It!, I can eat 4 more calories the rest of today.  I'm not sure where those calories are supposed to fit, but I'm looking.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Great job on the race this morning, John.  But beer for Thanksgiving?!?  You should be having turkey!

David, this pic reminded me of the wild turkey eating and drinking contest they showed a clip of yesterday...that skinny Asian woman won! they had to eat the turkey whole and drink beer cup size wild turkey! Ugh.Eta: linkhttp://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/sonya-black-widow-thomas-eats-entire-turkey-top-prize-thanksgiving-eating-contest-article-1.981378?localLinksEnabled=false

Drinking the latter probably increases the likelihood of success with the former.

That stuff makes my clothes disappear... can't tell you how many shirts I've "misplaced" at the club, or at friends houses, or on buses, or in Whataburger, or a Tai restaurant in London...

We don't need that kind of drama Embarassed

Happy Turkey Day everyone!  No racing for me today but had a great day with my family.  We had the Turkey Bowl this morning...a 35 year old family football game that my kids are getting old enough to appreciate.

Congrats to the racers who pr'd, raced hard or had fun!

I am thankful for my family and friends, for the awesome docs that take care of Jeremy, for all you peeps and for the awesome pen making skills that Doug has!!

I hope you all had an incredible day!

Yoo-Hoo Peeps!  Tomorrow's the big day---who's toeing the line before the turkey?  If you have a special strategy for your 5K, 10k or 13k (Undecided), lay it on us!

If you're lazing around just waiting to get a muffin top at least reflect on those things you're most grateful for and share them!

And if you want to answer both questions, go for it!

As always, a little late but... I did an untimed charity 5k, second yr.  According to my watch, I missed beating last years time by 12 seconds.  Not surprised and just enjoyed getting out there.

I'm definitely grateful too. For so much.  This yr in particular for my family.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
