You can channel my ever-encouraging Sherpa/mom in T2 yelling, "Just park the **** bike!" and "Run like a bat out of h.....!" Not sure that's great advice for an Ironman, though!

That's hysterical. Thanks. (I'm gonna add her!)

My sister and I were joking about how my late dad's spirit will surely be there, egging me on ... I'm sure he'd say stuff like, "Why are you going so slow?!" But that really WOULD egg me on ...

My buddy did photography for a duathlon I did last March in freeing rain. I was so cold and sluggish in T1 and all I hear is "Brian, what the hell is wrong with you? Hurry the F up!!" Yes, there were pictures.

Friends and family, what more encouragement do you need?

Hey!  Put me in early on the run - I'm SO happy to be off the bike, and my legs haven't fallen off yet - I'll be singing songs to distract you!  It is a truly big distraction when I sing, trust me.

Go, Yanti!!

Nothing is left? Ok I will be giving you virtual calf massages during the run. My calves always felt worms were wiggling. So I'll take care of the lower legs, if that is ok?

welps, you've got a very full and capable crew already. Here's what I can offer. I am tall. You will be able to see me towering over the local volunteers. Put me at whatever stations along the course where you need something - even if just a smile or a shout - and I'll stand out like the gaijin that I am. Have been to Japan quite a bit. I don't blend there. Woot! Good Luck!!!!

I know SO MANY of you are with me in spirit and you will absolutely come to mind at the exact right time as has happened on every other IM course.

Thank you. Bless you. Love you!

YANTI!!!!

I will be cheering for you so much at IM Japan. I probably won't be able to follow you online since I will be getting married that weekend and will have a lot going on but I will check in on you when I can and will be cheering for you on the inside all day! When you are in need of a mental break, remember my screen name and how it makes you laugh lol. Have a great trip, be safe, have fun and rock that course. You will do amazing because you are amazing. Good luck!

I like mine so much I may never go back.

Show your support of Yanti by claiming your very own Yanti image from her albums :)
