I thought of those of us working today when I saw the picture of Monica's car all alone in the parking garage.

There are a total of 3 people on my floor today and one of them is leaving at noon, I was the only one in my parking garage, and the commute was a breeze.  One of our campuses is closed next week but I'm on the other campus's schedule so I'm working Monday and Tuesday.  The heat in my building gets turned off, but we typically only work 9-3 and can wear jeans so it's not all bad.

I think there are other people here, but I haven't seen anyone yet. I'm leaving at 1:30

I'm a Colorado girl. Something about poolside on Christmas Eve just doesn't jive for me. Now being home by the fireplace with an eggnog or hot cocoa I could go for!

Yeah yeah, whatever! I'm out early today as well. One of the best parts of this time of year is that so few people are working so I can actually get some of my work done uninterrupted.

Asking for some prayer power, Manatees.  An associate of mine was in Las Vegas and last night was hit by a bus crossing the road.  She is in bad shape, brain bleed, multiple fractures, in a coma (induced?).  She is mom to an 18 month old.  Would really appreciate good thoughts sent her way.

I was in here checking on the IM result for Yanti and randomly saw this.  This was on the news her in Vegas.  There were a couple of follow up stories as well and part of a overall story about how there has been a rash of pedestrians being hit and many killed.  Sorry that it was someone close to you.

Tina and I spent our Christmas (which in Mutti's German tradition we've always celebrated on Christmas Eve) in the ER. It was almost fun, in a non-fun kind of way.

When I said I wanted a cat for Christmas, Santa, I did NOT mean a CAT scan!

The elbow's a lot more messed up than we thought, and I'd been baking, cooking, wrapping and carrying gifts etc. all day. (And it ain't exactly been quiet days before that, either).

Tina is exactly as messed up as I thought; we just wanted to rule out any kind of heart thing.

Last night we noticed Copy cat was not walking right and she was pretty lethargic.  My vet couldn't see her today because they were full. We took her to the emergency vet--who was very kind and compassionate.....to learn she has lymphoma.  We decided on supportive care for her thinking we had maybe 3 months at best.  She died about an hour after we got home.  We are all wrecks.

Mary, I saw that you are still having some challenges relating to your knee.  When did you start wearing the Hokas?  When did the knee problems start?  Have you tried running in your previous shoes?
