Jim, so sorry to hear there were so many things stacked up so close.  I'm really glad for you that there were some positives in the mix and that you're even able to appreciate them in the midst of the turmoil.  Good and bad - they both take it out of you, in different ways.  Hope you're back on steady ground soon.

Condolences on the loss of your Mom, Jim.  I am glad to hear your wife is now disease free, sending good thoughts for her convalescence.  Congratulations to your daughter!  What a week.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Jim, but glad to hear you could be with her.  Congrats to your wife, hoping recovery goes very smoothly and quickly for her. I'm glad to hear the hairdryer episode wasn't worse, geez!  And congrats to your oldest daughter, what a special honor and special person.  I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

To echo all of this. I am so very sorry. How strong you are to find good in so much sadness!

So, sort of like Sean's DL status - i am over here 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow with two more work days left. Somehow i think my recovery will be a bit longer, though . Due date is two weeks from now and i am definitely feeling it. My feet are swollen and i have to pee all the time. But other than that i am doing well. I am fortunate, i do get year off and at this time of year I am looking forward to having May and June to be out strolling with the new baby ... but not just yet. 

I need some good training and race details so i can live vicariously through you all! Keep 'em coming, everyone! 

We need for you to check in after the baby is born!  Don't forget us!
