Just bought my 1st one piece. Haven't raced in it yet but with all the end of season sales going on I couldn't resist. Have had no issues with 2 piece but figure I give one piece a shot. It also has sleeves which I'm psyched about. Despite loading on the sunscreen I've still had too many burns racing in TX in the summer.

This is what I'm thinking about.  Just saw a Pearl Izumi suit with sleeves that's a one-piece.  Have only raced a two-piece up to this point.  Two makes going to the bathroom easier, but up to this point in my short-course career I haven't had to do that.  Anyhow, I definitely do like the idea of sleeves.

Think sleeves would be another question altogether. I'm iffy on getting a good enough fit for myself. Still not sure I'd like it even then. I can see how the sunburn protection is appealing though.

Never had to stop during a race. Most long rides haven't needed a stop either. Actual need for that has probably been rather rare.

Hmmm....There is a Pearl Izumi outlet not too far from where I live in Oregon. May have to check and see if they have the sleeved suits. I have some tri shorts that I use for training (brick workouts, and just riding my tri bike) but I really prefer to race in a one piece. Too many fit issues with two piece, mainly with the waist, especially for non-wetsuit swims, which is all my races in SE Asia. I seem to be between sizes in most brands. If the butt/chest fits, the waist is too big and the top flaps around. If the waist fits well (without pulling the drawstring as far as it will go and tying a zillion knots, there is no way my top and bottom are going in. They seem to design the smaller women's sizes (I'm between XS and S in some brands, S and M in others) for 12 year old girls, not 40-something women.

Really interested in a suit with sleeves--my shoulders get absolutely fried, especially in the tropics. I did get a cool one-piece with sleeves from a store near the race venue in Australia, but I think it's a tad too loose to swim in without a wetsuit. They didn't have XS in stock, and ordering from there to deliver here wasn't practical. Going to try it for one of my US races, probably.

I've never had a problem with getting in/out of a onesie for the porta-potty. In particular, the front-zip suits are super-easy to get in and out of and for me, no slower than tri shorts. Back zip is a bit more of a pain, but never had a problem during the race itself. Going to be gross here, but I don't stop to pee! And so far I've been lucky with my nutrition, gut, etc.--#2 hasn't happened either!

Found out the kid didn't make it. Something congenital (from birth), so no accident or funny business. I didn't actually know him or anyone on the team. Just rather unsettling to see. Thinking of the other kids. Had to deal with several classmates at that age, but not like this.

Two piece but then again, I mostly do HIM or longer.  Sometimes an Oly.  I need to be able to pee.  Plus, to be honest, I hate the way that I look in a one piece.

Ive only ever used 2 piece.

There is too much of a size discrepancy between my top half and my bottom half and also cause I'm really slow I don't want to look like a try hard who thinks I'm better than I am.

On some of the most isolated islands in the world ... no phone connection and very limited (and expensive! and slow!) Internet connection so just popping in.

Go Racing Manatees!!!

Kingsley and I are doing the Cocos Lagoon Swim 8K tomorrow, but there's a storm surge in the works so it may get canceled/postponed.

We're hoping the swim stays on, but the storm surge comes in to delay our return flight to reality :D

Trying to figure out some riding this weekend, but seeing sustained winds of 25 or better with gusts up to 50. Maybe if I switch back to the box rims?

I'm dealing with this now...I have my eye on the Coeur sports one piece that came out...snappy looking, I already know and love the shorts, and I really love the idea of sun protection for my shoulders and arms.
Anybody know if sleeves are an issue for USAT non-wetsuit races? I've read through the rules, but most seem to apply to the wetsuits themselves, not the trisuit.
Also...and I know this is ridiculous, so someone please smack me...I feel like I'm not speedy enough for the sleeved suit. Most are marketed as being aerodynamic, and I'm too slow on the bike for that kind of thing to be of interest to me right now. I just want it for the sun protection!

Healing thoughts and prayers needed:
My best friend's youngest is having surgery on Monday. They found a brain tumor this morning. It is quite invasive. She isn't even two yet. Please send all your healing thoughts and prayers to Lucy.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
