Laura~

I'm terribly saddened by your loss. Yes, prayers will be lifted up for you and yours.
How awesome to have such a man in your life and for you to call him Father. You and your family are blessed to have shared your life with him and he obviously thought the same about you guys.

Laura,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will be sure to toast to him and your family tonight. Maybe you could screenprint that picture of you and your father onto a t-shirt and wear it for your next race.

We're all here for you....

My gosh you guys... you're all so nice.... Thanks a ton. My mom and sister and I can feel the good vibes. My dad's memorial service is tomorrow, and I'm actually looking forward to it... Wanting to celebrate his life, carry out his wishes, and "have a good meal".... as per his request.

Whizzer,

My prayers are with you and your family.  Your dad had a great smile and it easy to tell he enjoyed seeing his daughter compete as a triathlete.  Thank you for sharing the photos.

My love to you,

Michele

I also am sorry for your loss.

Here is something that was sent to me and now I forward to you.

Be patient with life, despite its cruelty.
Often it seems careless of our pain,
But just as often brings us hope again.
Remember, I wanted happiness for you.
Under every foolish word this still was true.
Be happy, then, without, as you would with me.
In your life many sweet events remain.
Not in anguish, but in joy remember me.
Anon.

I hope the memorial was something you will remember as a beautifull life fullfilled rather than a sad passing of life yet lived.
Spanner.

Please accept my condolences.  In time your grief will give way to warm heartfelt memories as well as inspirations to share with those closest to you as you go through life.  Such a loss is hard to bear, but try to keep in mind that fathers and mothers want more than anything for their children to be happy and enjoy life.  We honor them by going on and sharing ourselves, their legacy, with others.  You and your family will remain in my prayers.
