That's my fourth highest month for cycling volume since starting this in 2004. Funny thing is, it didn't feel like a lot at the time. I was just enjoying being on the bike. I really need to get to the pool more. At this point I'm swimming just barely enough to remember where my jammers are. jasonwb, the rule of thumb is to not increase your running volume more than 10% from one week to the next. It's also not a good idea to increase it week over week without decreasing it at some point to give your body a chance to recover so you can keep increasing the volume. Every 4th week is typical, although for older athletes around 55 and older, every 3rd week can be advisable. |
