A very lucky Friday the 13th "Good Stuff" thread

* The weather is nice today. Sunny! I love sunshine. Now bring on the heat!

* Riding my motorcycle to work 4 days this week. I actually save more than the cost of riding just in gas mileage.

* Going to ride a century on Sunday. Weather forecast looks good!

* Busty Girls thread...

* My daughter has a walk-a-thon at school this afternoon, which means leaving work early to help out.

* We had our first Lucky Cause Sports event last Saturday. More people, made more money for Corner of Love, and had a lot of fun.

Just read Busty Girls Thread.  Made my day!

* Daughter won her first 2 high school fastptich games and hit in the winning run in the first game.

* HS Senior son ran in his first ever race - 5:15 mile.  Not bad for a first effort.  He is running the 800m as part of a relay today.

* He and I are going to Boston this weekend as part of the Boston College Admitted Students day to help him make his fianl college decision.  We are excited to visited the Boston Marathon Expo on Sat.

Nuthin much else going on....

NHL Playoffs are here!

My wife is painting the kids room and she's a little over halfway done.  She is expecting to finish this weekend.  YAAAAAAAAAYY!!!!!!!!  Why is htis good news?  there's the obvious, the kids will like having it done, but for me...... whenever she starts a project, the house goes into WRECK mode.  FOr painting, painting supplies are EVERYWHERE, paint gets spilled, clothes get lost, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!!!!  all the way until she finishes, then it all gets put away.  But it's usually worth it in the end.  all she's got left is superman's back ground.  The kids are asking for spiderman and hulk on some other walls, but I have managed to talk her out of it for a while so we can get the toolbox off the kitchen table.......

As for me:

- I am REGISTERED for Ironman Western Australia on Dec. 9 ... my 5th iron-race I've registered for and I WILL DO IT AND FINISH!

- I do prison ministry and although I love it and it maybe even does some others some good ... I really didn't want to go this week, but I am SO GLAD I did. Had a blast, made people laugh, and maybe that's the best spirit medicine of all.

- I've had a wonderful time with good friends on Wednesday, and also saw an AWESOME chiro. I feel so much better.

- Been sick for the last couple of days but actually RESTED (how odd for me) ... haven't seen a doc yet, but progress, slowly, at least I rested.

- You just can't beat partying with the drag queens on a Monday night.

NO YOU CAN'T!!!!!  You haven't LIVED until you've partied with drag queens!!!!!!!

- I have my buddy flying over form the UK to spend the weekend, he does it a few times a year, flies in for 2-3 days. 

- had some success in the office, found a new PM and have them starting Monday.

- Sons soccer starts this weekend and my daughter is back horse riding Sunday too.

Congrats!!!!!  YAY!!!  Too bad the little guy/gal won't quite get here in time for the Fantasy Football Season.  Make sure the delivery falls on the week you play me!!!!  

I am running again and my knee doesn't hurt when I run. Yay for that.

Went sailing last night. Was invited to crew at Sunday's races. Woo. Hoo.

One of the crew I met last night is a Director at the local hospital. He said I should be doing business with his hospital; he said he could get me on approved vendors list. Tank you, tank you vedy much.

Another of the crew said I should join the singles sailors club to which he belongs. It is not a singles club; it is a club for sailors who are single. They do a lot of cruising (in the sailing sense, not the gutterhead sense) together. Suh-weet.

For me, this is has been a trying few weeks, so I am looking at the small things to cheer me up:

• My son (9) gets to meet some of the USA Water Polo team this weekend
• He plays in a water polo tournament this weekend and he is really having fun
• My niece picked up her second Ivy League Player of the Week honor this season in Softball
• I will soon be back in the mix after surgery next week.

1 - Got taxes done.

2 - 3 days off with kids.

3 - Got workouts #2, 3, 4 complete since recovering from bronchitis.

The rain held off long enough to allow me to get in a nice, outdoor run this morning.

My tax returns are in the mail.  Hooray.

My youngest son's 11th birthday celebration is this weekend, and he's very excited.

I was offered a position with a new company that is a great career move for me and has the added bonus of a greater than 20% base increase with a much greater potential.  Have to review the package over the weekend but I'm pretty sure that I'll accept.

Hosting an Autism Awareness picnic this weekend for 200+.  Should be busy but a lot of fun: 2 bouncy houses, a small train, a petting zoo, free food, snow cones and cotton candy and lots of good people around.

Family is healthy and happy. My son finished college finals and fishing season opened so we can go fishing tomorrow.

A very nice lady read my post in COJ dating thread and emailed me. It's been the highlight of my week going back and forth and getting to know a little bit about her.

For me,

• going on a date night with my hubby who suggested it out of the blue and has planned it as a surprise
• my mom is recovering really well from her surgery and i am optimistic that there isn't any more cancer!
• I had a lovely extra long weekend last weekend and it was great!
