  • Comments: I always love running this race. Lots of friendly volunteers. Plenty of happy people. Attendance was down this year. Could have been the cold weather.

  • Comments: Amazed that a state park can host such a great event (better than 3D, Tux Bros, or Planet Adventure IMHO). Super organized, lots of little touches, and cheerful/helpful volunteers & staff. If you are in Indy, Muncie, Kokomo, Ft. Wayne, South Bend, you need to do this race!

  • Comments: I love this race. It's a highlight of the year. This year my good friend Keenan ran in it. It is his first year and he has already ran three. Other friends came out to support us. They have never seen a triathlon so this was nice for them to see why I love doing it.

  • Comments: This tri is slightly longer than some of the other Sprints I have done which is a really nice change. The lake water was clear and clean, as was the beach area. The biking was varied with some hilly parts and the roads were very nice. The run was part trail, part road which kept things fresh. I wish the swim had also been longer, maybe 800 meters? They really should think about capitalizing on this great location and do an Olympic distance as well as the Sprint. I will definitely do this tri again next year and get as many friend to come with me as I can!

  • Comments: Had a good time now that I've had time to quit beating myself up about the swim. What really made this race great was that so many of my Lafayette TriClub friends were there. I'm a lucky person to be able to do this and to have made so many great friends

  • Comments: The race itself is well put together with lots of volunteers. It is a long sprint. The weather is too unpredictable at this time of the year. I told myself 2 years ago if I had another poor performance in bad weather at MMT that I wasn't going to do it again. So... I hope to be on the run course next year passing out water and encouraging words.

  • Comments: One of my favorite races, great venue, pizza,goodies,free ice cream, towel, old tech shirts for $5, chip timing, all for $35 what a great event. BTW a rider got side swiped by a deer on the course, my friend saw it happen and said the deer ran out of the woods and just t-boned him knocking him off the road into the ditch. He ran over to the guy and he was unconcious for over 30 seconds, then came too. An ambulance came and took him away, not sure of his status, but what a freaky accident.

  • Comments: I am definitely going to do this tri again next year. It was awesome! I have some demons there to beat for next year. The event was very well run. This was my second tri, ever. I have improved so much this year alone. I am excited and inspired to think how far I can go. This race was challenging both physically and mentally. I know that it was only a "sprint", but I know now that I have potential and nowwhere to go but up!

  • Comments: For the first running it went pretty smooth. Although the timing did not breakdown transition times, so I don't know if the transition times were part of the bike and run times. Overall I was happy.
