My dad was seen at Moffitt Cancer center today and the surgeon thinks he has lung cancer. He is having surgery tommorrow, then tests, chemo, more surgery then maybe more chemo. My mom is really upset and passed out in the drs office. Not a good day for the Ott family. At least he is at one of the top cancer centers in the world. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers this Christmas -Sue
remember to continue to take care of yourself as well. You need to be at your best for everyone else right now, so make yourself a priority. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
You and your family will be in my prayers. As a father and having spent time in the hospital myself, I'm sure that your father is so much stronger for the attention of a loving daughter. Good luck to you all.
{{Warm thoughts}} - I went through this with my father about seven and a half years ago and I know how hard this can be on your family. Chin up, help him out however you can, and see that he listens to the doctors. It's tough, but as a family, you can certainly get through it together.
I'm sending good warm happy healing thoughts your way...please pass them along to your dear old dad. I know how you feel right now, I really do. Please remember to give him an extra hug or two the next time you see him... and tell him you love him.
Remember to tell you dad you love him every time you see him. Tell you aother family members to do the same. This is when it hits home how often we think we say something but we just take it for granted that the other party knows how we feel.
You and your family have my most sincere wishes of health and recovery. As others have said we are here at BT for each other and at this time for you in particular.
Here's another friend thinking of you and your family. It should make you feel good to know so many people (who you don't even know!) are keeping you all in their thoughts!.
hey you are you and your family is in our prayers....when my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer he researched for places to go for treatment all over the country and ended up at Moffitt so take comfort that this is one of the best places in the country to go.....let us know if there is anything we can do for you....
My dad had his mediastinoscopy and unfortunately one of the seven nodes they took was postive for cancer so now we begin the fight. He will have a couple tests then 8 weeks of chemo then surgery then maybe more chemo. This is a time when its tough to be a doc because I know this is a really crappy diagnosis. Thanks everyone for keeping my family in your prayers. -Sue
