Subject: Help pick my new logo design

A year or two ago someone here at BT cam up with a great idea for my company name. Now I'm back looking for some input on my logo. I'm working with a graphic artist and we've bounced a few rounds of concepts back and forth. I think we're getting close to something I like but it's always useful to get some other opinions. Once I settle on a logo we'll start overhauling my web site which will have a gray scale theme with bits of color for emphasis and highlighting. Here's the latest round of concepts...

I also like #3. It's a bit more compact. The others might be more stretched out. I think the more compact version is more pleasing to the eye!

I wouldn't use the ones with the hexagrams--they represent the structural formula for cyclohexane. Since it's a chemical formula, it could suggest "better performance through chemistry", and I'm sure that's not what your going for

Joel,

I like the SISU word graphic from the first one.  All the letters streaking from Left to right.

combine that with the 3rd logo and it's perfect overall.  Plus that one would be easier to put on shirts and Uniforms. 

Just my 2 cents.

Take the SISU lettering from 2. The block letters are a lot crisper.

Use the logo design from 3. The flow of the caricatures seems a lot more natural.

#3. B/c the hexagons, when placed after the letters is confusing. I was wondering what SISUOOO or the like stood for?

Moving the trithlete design as a ribbon makes it clearer to the reader what the buisness is called and represents. That's the purpose, right?

I like #3 from the top, but on a personal note would like to see the #2 "SISU" design in #3.  I like the "swooshes" in the letters.

Wow...thanks for all the replies.  I'm certainly not limited to the 4 examples here, these are just the latest round of concepts.  mixing and matching elements from each and/or changing things completely is fair game.  My graphics guy has been really good about taking my sometimes random thoughts and incorporating them.  Originally I was moving towards some form of the hexagon design but the more I look at this latest round the more I really like the overall look of #3 with the line transitioning into a little water.  Maybe just playing around with the text/fonts a little will do the trick.  Keep the ideas coming!

$.02...  I like #3 also.  I might like the SISU lettering font in #2, #4 as others have mentioned.

PERSONALLY I do not like the funky font of train smarter, race faster.  I have to work too hard to read that, which means if I weren't evaluating the logo, I probably would not notice/read that.  Everything else is curved and fast, and then that's sorta herky jerky IMHO.
