TG 1A and I want to go sub 44 and maybe 42.  It all depends on the traffic.

Ok seriously, how did I end up in Corral 8?!  Am I that slow?  This is my first time, so I have no idea how fast I'll be able to run with that many people in front of me.  I'm really just getting the shirt for my Mom.

Sub seeded and sub 40 (depending on traffic also). Maybe I can draft off a Kenyan for the first 5k.

Since my wife will be doing this as her first 10K, I will be soaking it up and just enjoying it this year. It shall be interesting to actually relax and enjoy the sights and sounds for once

Wife and I are both 1b. anything in low 50's will be good for me on those hills. She wont be happy unless she is under 50.

I'll be right there with ya in the back of 1A.  I'm hoping to run the whole race without injuring myself or rerailing my recovery.  Slow and steady.

I was going to type that I wanted to do well enough to not have to run a qualifier next year (under 50 minutes) but that is complete BS.  I don't think I have the base rebuilt enough to go that fast without risking an injury.  So, I'll be challenging all comers to 10K races next winter.

1A 44 would make me happy since I haven't run a good 10k (by my standards) in about 2 years but I would love to PR and that will be anything faster than 43:45.

My husband is running and he is going to use my mother in law's number in TG5. The one I got for him ended up being TG9 and he --understandably--doesn't want to start back there. So if anyone still needs a number let me know (TG9). . .

Not sure of his goal since the last time he ran was last years PRR. I think anything around an hour. He's just in it to drink beer with me at the end.

Everyone is coming to drink beer afterwards at the Park Tavern, right? Carry your ID and dollars(in past years $10 got you food and all the mich lite you wanted).

I wanted to add that for those that haven't run the PRR that the course is really pretty good. My 3rd fastest 10k ever is from this course and I wasn't even going all out that day. First half is down hill pretty much and the 2nd half has a good bit of uphill but then you roll (mostly down) to a fast finish that last mile. And if you have run the half on Thanksgiving this will feel like a piece of cake.

I'm in TG2. My goal is 58, but realistically, I'll take anything sub-hour given how i've been running lately.

I am curious I have heard different things about the crowded-ness of each time group and the ability to run. Also, I have heard different things about the relative hilliness of the course.

Just wondering whether I should treat it as a "fun" run or go for it. (Managed to just squeak into the subseeded group)

In ... but only to run with wifey (it is the only race she does all year).

My 11 yr old son was going to run it but ended up traveling for the month of June (Cycling camp followed by Camp Grandparents) and therefore not training.  As I am nudging him toward track next fall when he enters middle school, I do not want his first race to be a sufferfest ... so if someone wants a number then just let me know.

Hey Natalie -

I'm trying to find a 1B # for my husband.  He's got a # in the 30,000, but he's been training like a mad man the last couple of months and I wanted to see if I could get him into my corral (15,000's) so we could run together.

I was not plannning on running it, but if Natalie can get me either 39,999; 40,000; or 40,001; I suppose I would give it a shot.  Just let me know.

Brian - if it is one of these three numbers, I am interested.  Other than that, I guess I will sit this one out.      (little inside joke with Karen26.2)

TG 1B.

Due to a hamstring injury I have just started back running and have only done 3 miles at a time in the last 3 or so weeks.  Think it's been about 5 wees or so since I have done 6.

SO, I'm happy to just be able to participate and will be glad if I end up running the whole thing hills and all!
