Elite  2729     Puyallup, WA |  Subject: BT offspring has arrived!!Abigail Elaine finally arrived yesterday!! (8-11) She didn't want to come out on her own, me thinks...so she was removed by force :-) (aka c-section). She had some problems getting enough oxygen on her own for about the first 12 hours, but now is doing better. She is still in the "Special Care Nursery" and may be there for another few days. (Which has been a mixed blessing, so I can recover a bit while she gets her rest!) I am doing ok. May have done a bit too much walking less than 24 hours after surgery...but...gotta push yourself a bit, says the triathlete :-) Dad (aka Dave/briderdt) looks like a pro, imho. It's kinda nice having a partner who has done this before :-D She had a full head of hair and weighed in at 6 lb 15 oz. Pictures to come in the future! Great choice of names! I love the old, strong names. (we have Oliver, Stella and Charles, with a possible Anne-Therese on the way!) Hope she (and you) get to feeling better over the next few days. And seriously, take it easy. Mrs Dawg had 2 C-sections... it's best to just give it a rest for a couple days. |
