Wow Chrissie is back in 4th place...

Back in 1st!

I did not expect that.

crazy! she was also just pedalling at a 70ish cadence and she can run very fast. mmmmmm, can the 90 rpm been the optimal cadence be another myth busted?

Sutton believes a lower cadence leaves the legs fresher for the run..

I am sure she'll be fine. She ran like the 3rd fastest marry in IM history last year and she didn't have a clue. A year later and the experience is s huge factor. Also she sat and probably stretched out for a solid 10 minutes. Might have helped a bit. Who knows.

Stadler is making his move. This run is shaping up to be one of the best in years....

The next 10 mile critical for overall position into T2. We all know Lieto and Sindballe are going to have a tough time in the heat in the first 10 miles of the run.

Macca quit due to a mechanical! He should have finished the race.

I missed that part.  Did they say what exactly went wrong?

Shifter cable problem.  Kept throwing the chain.  Tech support said it would be 20'.  Macca cried and quit.

Weak Frown

How many years ago was it when the dude carried his bike the last portion of the bike course?

Beke is a real man.  Macca is wimp.  He talks big talk, how much respect he has for the Ironman, how great a triathlete he is, blah, blah, blah,...  I had little respect for him before this because of his mouth.  Now I have zero respect.  He's a jerk.

This coverage is addictive. I wish they would give more video coverage, though, instead of watching the commentators.

"You owe me"
We just got the heads up on how Rebekah Keat helped Chrissie Wellington out. Wellington was on clinchers. She went through four quick fills and was stuck on the road looking for another.

About 20 age group men went by her before Rebekah Keat slowed to help her out.

"You owe me," Keat yelled as she rode away.

You think?

That's sportsmanship. Good on you, Rebekah!

Someone's drinking for free after this race shakes out... LOL
