Happens all the time at our house.  Used to be more of a problem when we had 3 dogs and 3 beds, cause the cats would take one (the biggest) and the dogs would have to share.  Although, they will still share now, even though we have enough, we call it the Staffie Pileup.

Not even a DP yet - BT went all crazy and posted two replies with nothing in them.  That kind of day.  Sigh...

I was just looking through some pictures and can't remember if I posted this one.  I was out for a run in the woods near our cabin in Belgium last summer.  I had misread the map, and ended up doing about twice the 3km I was planning on.  Literally in the middle of nowhere, here is this little Chapel-ish thing.  Candles were burning.  It was really cool.

So funny! Our cats don't do that but one of the dogs steals the other dogs bed.

Oh my goodness - 58 pages - insane!

Manatees i'm so bloody busy - i'm doing a ton of work for Vinnie Tortorich, i've scaled back the stuff for Macca - he can afford a pa he don't need me!

I went to Geelong for the race on Sunday - met Crowie again and the adorable Timbo Reed - he of the budgie smuggler fame.

i stalked my butt off - I wish that was possible.

This week i've done a run, lots of walking and an ows and had a blast.

I'm enjoying the no pressure of racing. I will try and check in here daily - i can't promise to read the posts.

Thanks for thinking of me....i love you guys.

Oh Yanti - WTF with Schappelle Corby!!!

What a cool, unique, special, mystical item to happen upon, truly a gem of a find!  I love when good surprises happen during a run.

What a hockey game!  Somehow I did manage to make it through the whole day without anyone talking about the game or the score.  It was the usual intensity between these two greats but I will say I'm glad it wasn't a medal game with the few officiating blips that occurred, mainly the goal that I felt the whistle was blown before the puck crossed the line.  It would be a shame for the big game to hinge on a call such as that, so let's hope we don't see that same ref in that game.  Congrats, my friends to the north!

And in a weather update, we already have about 4-5" of snow and it's showing no sign of letting up.  Not going to work, might do a little work from home, ride the trainer, watch Dexter, watch Olympics, shovel snow, snuggle with the dogs, check in with the manatees...good stuff!

How are the other snow-bound manatees doing? Janyne, hoping you still have power. Some of the scenes shown on the Weather Channel of your general region look nasty with the ice. Hope all are warm and safe.

We were changed over to freezing rain by 4 AM here in Richmond.  Neighborhood roads look bad but my husband had no issues driving up to work.

Just starting here, although the bloody pool is closed.  I get a bit non-plussed when they close BEFORE it even starts really snowing (it's the town center, so closes when the town offices close - although this time they did so before hand).  This is New England, for goodness' sake.  They announced LAST NIGHT that they would delay opening the pool until 0900, which would ensure no one would get a workout in before the real snow started and they could close without coming in at all…  Schools closing?  Sure - it's going to be grim by the time the kids would come home. But the pool?  Why not go to work while you can?  You can close well before it gets bad.  ARGH!   People are getting soft (wow, I sound like a geezer!).

OK, rant over.

We are just far enough west that we should get a good amount of snow.  I just NEED it to be clear by tomorrow night - West Indies, baby!  Nothing better delay our flights.

I hope hope hope that by the time we get back, at least some of the roughly 10 foot tall snow mound (no joke) lining our driveway will have melted - and keep melting with no new snow until next winter.  Hmmm…. maybe my rant wasn't quite over.  Ha!

Stay SAFE and warm all who are in the path of yet another "storm of the century."

Off to the basement to "run" and then, ummmm, back to the basement to "ride."  Too bad none of my "races" will have quotes around them.

Matt

So I hear!  Have to figure something out, for sure, and have been noodling what to do for too long.

We just finished a bunch of work in the basement to make a better pain cave possible and have been thinking about a CT (Marc, here we go again!).  Given I'll be away all next week, I'm now trying to decide if I should buy a new setup when I get back, or if the weather will break and I can ride outside until next winter (and buy one then, if any better models are out and such).

I'm desperately hoping that my last 2 trainer rides of the season will be today and tomorrow (I'll ride outside in cold, but not in snow or ice - call me wimpy… or sensible).

Is there a sporting event other than the Australian's playing South Africa in the cricket on? Sorry I hadn't noticed it obviously involves things that we generally suck at

You have to learn how to understand the trainer, not expect it to learn to understand you.

I've just stuck with Sufferfest vids for the hard workouts. That and some other things I might be able to watch movies to or use music for when it gets hard. Fitting to SF has been best for the hardest parts. TrainerRoad is great for a lot of people in having so many workouts in there and the ability to adjust the difficulty. I don't use it as I'm ok doing that on my own. I do have a powermeter though, so that helps in making all those adjustments. I'll actually use the trainer year round. When it's nice, its for weekday rides. Can't count on being able to get in the work as well outside. Too many stops, turns and unpredictability with traffic & pedestrians.
