I like the setup of the Kestrel!  It's like an oasis in a desert of sky high bars and spacers.    What bars are those, the Vision Pro-max?  I want 'em..

Thanks, they are Aerus C4TT intergrated base and aero bar - http://aeruscomp.com/images/product_images/bars/bars_C4TT.jpg  Recommended by my bike fitter, resonably priced with very low elbow pad position, as you point out.

Well THAT'S not exactly aero now, is it? Tongue out

Since that photo was taken I've been refit and I've lost all the spacers on the front end and lowered the seat a smidge. I've also replaced the aerobars and gotten a carbon seat post.

And I realized I don't have any photos of just the bike. You can kinda see the new position on the front end and the aerobars....

wgraves7582 - 2008-05-15 10:04 AM Time for the rebel to show up at the party with the barmaid as a date!

Yer seat-bag's too low

nice SS, which model is it?

It broke on me that day so it was hanging on by a thread - literally!

Bianchi MUSS - just went to a 14 on the rear this spring. Time to clean her up and get her dirty again this weekend. Cannot wait for the marathon to be over so I can ride her a lot!!!!

14!!!

Why do you hate your knees?

Kept spinning out on the flats with my 16. Got kind of old. I kept the 16 just in case the knees are not happy with me!

32 or 34 up front?

For the record, those are actually Sports by Brooks girls (not from LSU) and probably couldn't find Louisiana with a map and compass

Just got it today - unloaded from a gentlemen who had only ridden her less than 100 miles.  Sold our treadmill (from storage) to finance it.  I consider it the steal of the century (or at least the week).

Came with additional bonuses: Dura Ace pedals and a Polar CS 100

You see, I had my prior bike stolen nearly a year ago - first road bike ever, and man it is fast (for me).  Will go on first real ride tomorrow.

Excited

Edit: Yes, that is a shark jigsaw puzzle behind it - think what you will.

Sharkboy - 2008-05-15 3:13 PM Image and video hosting by TinyPic I'll soon have a Flashpoint 80 replacing that Ksyrium SSC SL on the rear.

Love the shark! Here's mine. Can't compete! I got a 2005 model last year on eBay, all new, unassembled, fits me perfectly. The pic was taken right after it was put together but before I got pedals. Had to replace the aero seat post though.

Damn, that's a good looking bike!  But you suck worse than I do at photography!  Next time, take the garbage can out of the center of the field of view of the camera!  :-)

My ride is pretty pimpin! It's a late 70's model Fuji Road Bike. I've retro fitted some sweet Scott Aero bars and Shimano pedals. What else?? I paid about $200 for it. Yip, I'm a big spender - but I am a noob. I even have the classic hand me down shoes!

SO, I am available for sponsorship or straight up donations.

Nice - you should get some electrical tape and tape the derailleur cables to the aero bars so they're not flopping everywhere, plus it'll look tons better.
